He was seriously mentally ill. Bipolar disorder and more.

He had manic episodes. In those manic episodes he behaved very recklessly. If he mixed drugs in on top of that, that explains it all. He could not be reasoned with when in his manic state. He needed to be put on anti-psychotics, but he probably refused to take them regularly, which means the manic episodes continue, and now one finally got out of control.

I wish I could say I am surprised, but his self-destruction was well foreshadowed. I tried to help him but he was incapable of listening.

Did you get all that just from your one conversation with him?

In this video he mentions having no previous history of mental illness.

I'm a fan of Connor's and I've watched almost all of his philosophy content, he even mentioned they were, "making a movie," like he did last time he faked his death (where he recreated 'Dear Evan Hansen') in recent posts.

Not just the conversation, but news about him through the internet.

He definitely had mental illness. People with mental illness will often deny they have any disorder at all, because they live in a fantasyland of their own making. Connor rationalized away all the problems with his behavior. He used spirituality to rationalize it away. He was not taking practical survival seriously enough.

He was fucking around too much, and found out.

He was like the guy who realized God is Love, grizzly bears are God, so let's go give that grizzly bear a loving hug. This kind of foolish spirituality is very dangerous. He lacked practical common sense because of the manic episodes. But practical common sense is what keeps you alive. Most people are practical for good reason. That's what survival requires.

@Leo Gura I was mistaken. It seems like he really did die. RIP

This video I think had a deeper analysis.

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

It made a pretty big bodybuilding news channel I like to listen to.  Apparently he's not the first fitness influencer to die in Thailand......

Zyzz was one of the first notable fitness influencers to die in Thailand but that was all the way back in 2011.

Leo Longevity also a couple years back. Lot of controversy around this one. People suspect foul play. But who knows. Thailand is a sketchy place. No rules. You can get yourself into trouble by your own doing.

Don't even start with that.

He was just reckless. Recklessness gets people killed.

You honestly have no manners, not even a "RIP". just another gloating about how you did the right thing and he didn't. yeah, no shit. he was batshit crazy.

Great epistemology closing off all possibilities of his passing when not knowing the details. He was reckless, so he couldn't have been murdered. great logic.

@gengar The details around Leo’s death are extremely murky.

Nobody will ever know.

Officially it says he fell in the bathroom and died.

I mean he wasn’t some old man or anything lol.

Could’ve also been a prostitute. Long story short we’ll never know. That ship has sailed. Either he died by falling like it says or we’ll just never know.

RIP to Connor. He’s a YouTube legend.  Should’ve had better people around him. But then again he’s across the world in Thailand away from any friends and family.

@Leo Gura I was talking about Leo Longevity’s death. Since it was tied to Connor and Tony a couple years back when they were hanging out together regularly in Thailand. Officially it says he fell in the restroom and that caused his death. I’m not sure how recklessness correlates with that but if you’re partying in Thailand that is inherently reckless I suppose.

No statement from the family and no confirmation from law enforcement?

And the idea that he couldn't get his friend in on it is laughable. Connor is on video admitting that he tried to get his family to play along with his first hoax. And now you're gonna trust the friend of Connor Murphy??? lol. Fool me once. I'll wait for law enforcement confirmation.

I think these hoaxes are a way of dealing with the shame of his psychosis. A hope for some kind of reset more so than a stunt for attention, but he bills it as a ploy for attention because the shame of "I'm a total psycho and I've humiliated myself to the max and I need a reset" is too much to bear.

That friend's channel is gonna get nuked with hate if that video turns out to be a hoax. Kind of a suicide move. But perhaps Connor's friends are suicidal.

I notice that you guys love to challenge and mock my intuition, but my intuition is almost always right in the end, despite the lack of data. That's because my mind sees data you don't.

@Joshe

A lot of people thought Oliver Tree dying was fake too since he had such a prankster reputation. But he was recording music in Afghanistan and playing live shows for tribes in Africa.

The guy's channel i posted is pretty reputable in the bodybuilding community as well.  And he found an official article from Thailand on the incident.  So it seems legit at this point.

Heck maybe Tupac is still alive as well..hanging with Elvis.

Conner was a living example how psychedelics is a double edged sword but he is not amongst us anymore. You don’t need to be bat shit crazy to be hurt by psychedelics. If you abuse it you will show traits that Conner has. I believe psychedelics was his death sentence. Without it he would be just a normal guy doing normal shit. Unfortunately the ones who have to take responsibility don’t take it.

Nah. His behavior was not normal. Not even for someone who takes psychedelics.

Lots of people take pyschedelics and never behave like Connor. That is an insult to psychedelic users. We are not raving lunatics.

But it is sad that it had to end this way. Sad. He was a sweet kid deep down, who got lost along the way.

If he really died, then this is very sad news.

That being said, like Leo, I too am not surprised. Bipolar must've got the best of him.

I'm more mocking the idea than your intuition. But I do think it's a mistake to lean towards this being true. Connor's friends are not rational actors, lol. It would be easy to get the friend to go along with this. All the friend has to do is say he was fooled and then play victim and his channel potentially blows up from a 100-1000x algo boost.

Yes, of course it's very likely one of these days Connor's recklessness will wind him up dead, and that may be the case now.

Actually, I just checked again and it appears there are legit reports from authorities, so it appears to be true. Although I still wouldn't be at 100% with this guy, lol.
