Humans constantly engage in primitive social games dictated by there biology.

Of course in this hypothetical scenario I'm imaging a guy with possible trauma and neurodivergence but nevertheless if he had the opportunity to display his passion and areas of strength in a way that bolstered his status he'd be very eager to do so.

@PenguinPablo Most humans are not megalomaniacs chasing power, status, and fame. This is a pretty rare driver in humans.

Owen is a maniac in this regard. He is not normal. In a bad way. In a way that he will never be at peace. His appetite is insatiable. Such people cannot be in stable relationships.

Relationship requires settling and being satisfied with what you got.

It's the paradox of choice. Pickup gives so much choice that you end up more miserable than if you just settled down with a 6.

It's ironic that as a Christian, Owen does not recognize that lust, greed, and vanity are sins.

I think in the context of this thread, this sort of status chasing (Owens extent) isn't normal for the general population. 

Everyone has their own little status game, but the grandiosity of what is spoken about here is next level.

I do not drink, smoke drugs or anything. I exercise a lot, meditate and I do eat moderately healthy. I also supplement Peruvian Maca.

As someone who had developed deep habits in pickup, I’m really glad I was able to come to this conclusion and integrate it in my later 20s already.

Literally such a waste of time, energy and sleep. And the sex is awful mostly.

If I’m to do dating, I will mostly only consider daytime scenes seriously. Clubs is just for the laughter and letting loose.

This is the reason gaming attractive girls is way easier than ugly ones for me.

Was gonna say - if I were the girl I would notice immediately and call it. Having said that I am pretty direct. And expect that candidness in return. 

I don't think that is typical by any means.

It's an interesting double edged sword as an attractive women - or wanting to enhance your appearance to attract a man. You risk drawing someone to you that will value that highly. So when looks begin to fade you sort of shoot yourself in the foot; you worry about the man being attracted to you. In addition, being good looking can also be a block to anyone seeing you beyond the outer appearance.

Something to think about for the men who think it is easier for a women to attract in general. Everything in life has its drawbacks; they just aren't always immediately apparently until we look at the deeper mechanisms at play. 

Not to say you think this way @Miguel1. Just that your post, and the dialogue in this thread, prompted me to think on this.
