A Disturbing Truth About Spiritual Teachings

Don't say such Buddha's bullshit here. Buddhism is bullshit dude!

We want impermanence, chasing our own tail forever and never truly being satisfied, ups and downs, peaks and valleys, ambition. We love suffering here! We are masochists and sadists, fundamentally! Out with your bullshit!

:D:D

Ironically, the "truth-seeking" expounded here is survival, dressed up as truth-seeking. Give me the "next" insight, the "next" awakening, the "next" deeper understanding.

what do you describing is sequentiality and it is not survival but existence for the autistic brain.

if you put down the sequence, you are putting yourself down, which leads to self-hatred.

So stop

I stand with my critique of Buddhism. Duality is not a bad thing at all, and it allows for the fulfillment of space and for symphony as I said.

pain and suffering are a part of the symphony. The only way to arrive at cacophony is by engaging in self-hatred.

Nothing normative was claimed in my statements. You're free to do whatever. Just know suffering means identification with that which is cyclical ("sequential"?). If you're not identified, you're not suffering (but of course, be careful turning this into denial and self-deception; you very likely are identified). That's why letting go is essentially the direct path to enlightenment. But do you want to let go? That is the question.

@Cred It's not just Buddhism this community hates on. I think Buddhism is a little stiff myself, but people here hate on any and all spiritual traditions. I'm a big fan of yoga and tantra. And western esotericism such as hermeticism and Neoplatonism

As for calling it survival (or Maya) rather than truth, does anybody remember infinite backflipping cartoon mouse awakening? Why is nobody asking about it anymore? Is it suddenly out of fashion? Or could it be that deep, all-pervading, non-personal, perennial truths are more pressing than some clearly personal hallucinations had in a psychedelic state?

    “So, this raises the question: what is the most truthful teaching?”
    @AtmanIsBrahman

    “The Buddha compares his teaching to a raft that takes people from the shore of suffering to the shore of freedom.” “The Work too is like a raft.” (Katie and Mitchell 2017, chap. 6)
    “This one speaks any egoic language necessary to trick you into going inside.” (Katie 1998, 12)
    “Nothing anyone says is true, and no thought that arises within you is true.” (Katie and Mitchell 2007, chap. 62)
    The Work of Byron Katie and The teachings of the Buddha are false/imagined/projected/fabricated but they bring about what is ultimately true/not false/….
    “The Understanding, the knowing of Self, Presence, ultimate Truth, lies outside human experience as it lies outside time and space.” (Carse 2005, 61)
    “All this took place beyond time. But when I put it into language, I have to backtrack and fill in.” (Katie and Mitchell 63, 2007)
    See also (Carse 2005, _Perfect Brilliant Stillness_, 60)

    “Of course every spiritual teacher has to worry about survival just to be able to teach.”
    @Leo Gura

    “Well wonderful, what's wrong with vitamins? I sleep, I eat, so what? The question is, do I have to? And the only reason why the great ones live like we do is because we can't comprehend
them if they don't.” (“Lester Levenson, Hale Dwoskin - Lester Levenson (Sedona Method) Magnum Opus PDF-Lester Levenson _ Sedona Method (2024)”, 29)
    “If the householder said no, the no was received with gratitude, because the Buddha understood that the privilege of feeding him belonged to someone other than that person. Food wasn’t the point. He didn’t need it. He didn’t need to keep himself alive. He was just giving people an opportunity to be generous.” (Katie and Mitchell 2017, chap. 1)

You're telling a rat to not disrespect the mouse? I'm the filthiest, ugliest, horniest @Eskilon, Buddhist rat that exists.

But yeah, my point was serious, feel free to be serious or not be, I'm open and accepting for whatever, I just call it what I like to call it.
