Psychedelics & schizophrenia?

My sister, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia 15 years ago, asked me about psychedelics that might help her earlier and I was floored. She’s never been interested before so, I thought that was interesting.

I know there are some shamans that work with individuals that have severe mental health struggles but just wondering how people do afterwards and if they have any relief.

I would be curious to know what psychedelics they worked with, how the experience was and if they had any improvement or shifts following.

I don’t think that’s a good idea. Psychedelics are really the opposite of what your sister needs, unless she wants to indulge in madness, which could be interesting but very very dangerous. 
To your sister every psychedelic is potentially salvia.

The only drugs that are safe for her are benzos.

And even then, only occasionally.

There can't be a one-size-fits-all answer on this issue.

Some schizo people will benefit from psychedelics and some will go nuts. You won't predict which until you try it.

Very small doses could be used to test the waters, but of course this is risky if she goes overboard with it. I would not want to be responsible for giving schizos psychedelics because you never know how bad it might get.

It can show you how your schizophrenia works. Id say 90 percent of society has it. If you learn about what it is you can see it everywhere just via speech. I can tell someone has it by talking to them.

You can have all the necessary tools and equipment for a mountain trip ( backpack , shoes, provisions, map...) but if your health plays tricks on you, nothing will save you.

Necessary tools for a delic' trip are: acurrate epistemology, state, intention, setting and of course, good genetics and stable or healthy mind.

The more unhinged you are the exponentially more likely it is that you will have a bad trip or you're going to delude yourself in the aftermath.

 

 

Outside of schizophrenia, how does she rank on the essentials? Is she stable and grounded? How is her mental health?

Psychedelic will shut off the default node network where schizophrenia is working from.  If they have it and aren't reacting it can be a godsend. If they are already acting on the delusions it might make it worse when the network comes back online.

Here is an easy way to pretend you are schizophrenic. Pretend the voice in your head isn't inside your head its outside your head in the field in front of you talking and everyone can hear it.

A schizophrenic is often a chemically imbalanced shaman / visionary. They need grounding but at the same time a micro-dose or small dose could be very beneficial and help them better understand everything. I would highly advise against it if they take meditation tho. Natural medicines and artificial ones tend to clash a lot and can lead to severe reactions. Ideally do it with a shaman who understands and has healed from such a state themselves. I could help but I am in Australia and don't do space holding or ceremonies online for many reasons. It could also have the opposite effect too.

What about ketamine? When I was doing K therapy, they said “If you have diagnosed or potential schizophrenia on the day of your infusions, you, unfortunately, will not be able to receive your infusion.”

I never had ketamine. But I wouldn't mind trying it.

Everytime someone fixate on an idea in his mind as "true" instead of "maybe", for me it's a sign of mental illness.
