Are Thoughts Material Or Not?

I hear sometimes that thoughts are material. But yeah, I can think about food and go get some food and eat it. In this sense thoughts are material.

But some spiritual people say that thoughts are material in other sense. So what is it?

Thoughts are subtle body phenomena, I dont have a good analogy for it, they interact with the body and energy system but arent limited by it.

If it's directly experienced is it material to some degree -- in the sense that it is sensed?  I feel like we're quibbling over words.

Thought is energy in the ether. You can latch or you can leave. Any thought is available to everyone. Thoughts are not material in the sense they're physical, it is a subtle vibratory frequency from unity state/open field. Thoughts can control, have you access things and much much more, but you only become conscious of this ones you start accessing subtle energetic realms. A structured/imagined body made out of prana or subtle vibratory energies, has pretty much the same energy as a thought. For example: If you wanted a scene to replay that happend on earthly plane, you would use thought, and this same thought would create an energetic vibratory prana/vibration scene. Thought is basically like a commanding center of the Mind. Very beautiful indeed

How can you differentiate when a thought arises in you if its yours or not?

Thoughts aren't personal; they are collective. That is why Leibnitz and Newton discovered calculus at the exact same moment. The thought was ready to be birthed.

No the reason they got the same thought is because the conditions were similar , education,training,society etc. What happends is people here tune in a frequency and download the thought "the idea is already there", The person who is aware what is happening here, does it consciously, many other people do it unconsciously and think it's theirs. But the choices and selections come from GOD.

Thoughts manifest on the other side instantly, and all creation comes from the other side.

Everything is energy, what "appears" material is simply energy slowed down to such a rate of vibration it "appears" solid, but its not really matter or material, rather its energy condensed to a slow or low vibration.

Thought can become condensed to a vibration that appears "material" with consistency and repetition, but its still fundamentally energy and not really solid as it appears. Thoughts are a higher form of energy but yes they too can become and appear material.

But again as Leo said, nothing is really material, even quantum physics has proven that space, your friends, your office, your really big car, you yourself, and even everything in this incredible vast Universe, are almost entirely, 99.9999999 percent empty space.

These answers don`t make sense to me at all.

Thoughts are as material or immaterial as anything else. There's only one type of thing , it's somewhat irrelevant what you call it , although some words feel closer to what's really going on.

Forget about thoughts for now ..whats so special about a thought which makes it more tricky to define than a cheeseburger? 

It's a matter of the metaphysics of definition and what is isness itself regardless of its content ?

A thing is a thing is a thing is a thing .

Define a thought as electricity in the brain ..OK so what's a brain ? An object .. OK so what's an object ? A thing .. What's a thing ? 

Reality is made out of itself.
