You really can't connect these dots?

No because those dots are just imaginary BS, like I said US have always been holding all the leverage in terms of power. Us creating your country (UK to be specific) as a colony does not absolve you of the responsibility of what happened after you gained the independence. I mean, are you slow? LOL

And all of those points could be individually refuted, but I don't have to do that cause I can just simply state "US held all the leverage" and that's tue end of it. Nothing else has to be said

Venezuela is an utterly politically unimportant state surounded with states with similiar lack of importance (by importance in this case I mean the degree of the state's ability to project power outside of it's borders), completely in contrast with a lot of states in EU - and those EU states in their current state are like Venezuelas compared to the US. We could have taken our military matters more seriously had it not been for the US choosing to be the world cop, yall should have chosen isolationist policy. Or at least not spread your military bases all around the world

All it would take, very simple, European sanctions on U.S., China to follow, isolate the Republican regime and they're done, that's it. 1 month, Trump would be gone.

Now go over current US vassals.

https://files.libcom.org/files/Michael Hudson - Super Imperialism - New Edition_ The Origin and Fundamentals of U.S. World Dominance (2003).compressed.pdf

What European island today has more impact on the world than the US dollar along with its financial WMD ie sanctions it can unilaterally impose on countries unwilling to subordinate - that a subordinate European continent tags along with?

US’s global leverage is maintained through a monopolised financial system backstopped by force or the threat of it via US naval policing and 700+ bases. That’s the imperial arrangement.

Both Europeans and Americans are scapegoating each other as the “real” imperial culprit, when in reality they co-created, benefited from, and enforced the same world order for decades. Moral finger wagging at each other is to blameshift and maintain their self image - because majority of the world can see this arrangement clearer than ever and more importantly - actually have some teeth and leverage to extricate themselves from it.

That order no longer maps onto material reality. It’s being structurally challenged by rising powers making it brittle rather than dominant. Former European great powers, already post-imperial, are now tagging along a fading superpower that is trying to prevent decline. The US is moving from leadership to consolidation due to pressure and increasingly willing to cannibalize allies to preserve primacy. That’s why transatlantic unity is fracturing.

It’s 15% of the world fighting to maintain primacy and privilege vs a 85% that are now contesting it.

Things might culminate to that point especially once US takes Greenland or starts taking overtly aggressive actions against Europe, however US has the ability to be very much self sustaining due to it's geography, so it is a little bit naive to assume Trump would be immidiately overthrown and end up like Musollini. Also, the trust in the US would get pernamently broken or at least for a significant amount of time, and it doesn't matter if the goverment would be replaced by the wokiest people to ever woke or not.

It won't work after Greenland, we'll have Canada to drain.

I don't mean self sustaining, I mean to remove Trump, impeachment. Republicans would turn on him if Europe would.

Funny thought experiment; imagine a nice country, like a nice guy/girl. I see Denmark plus some other Nordic nations as nice countries.

If US takes Greenland, it will be a clear reminder that the world don’t run on niceness. Rather it is run by power, at a much higher extent than people are willing to admit.

Denmark is lterally the least corrupt country on earth with a CPI of 90!! (US is at 69 in 2023)

And the second happiest country on earth with a score of 7.58 of 10.

Not sure if that is a blessing or a curse with dealing with the US atm.

Denmark isn't corrupt at all.

Greenland belongs to Europe.

If Trump invades Greenland, that would be the end of NATO.

A US invasion of Greenland will fracture the West. You can't argue with this.

Of course.
However, that world when fully accepted, is not going to be what the far right of the world believes it will be.

Imagine a world wherever everyone or the majority coveted power for its own ends. That's not a safe place to live that's for sure.

The West needs fractured. Europe can do it the easy way or the hard way. Sanction the u.s. now, or be it's literal slave for the next 50 years. The u.s. will drain europe of everything if they don't act now. Europe will be to the u.s. what eastern Europe was to ussr.

Europe has the strategic awareness of a golden retriever. U.S. Is going to pull up their armada then cargo ships, and start building DonnyWorld, plant the U.S. flag. WTF will Europe do to that? Europe must sanction the U.S. now, or die a slow painful death.

Why don't you Americans stop this nonsense?
How on earth can you be complicit with an imperialist president continuously trying to seize a sovereign country - and for an ally for that matter?

Europe isn't an ally, they enable the Republicans. Hell, Europe doesn't even care, they gave Trump a peace prize AFTER he announced his Greenland conquest.

This was AFTER trump said he's taking greenland

I retract from this post, as I am not interested in where this debating is going.  I could spend hours trying to argue your viewpoints, but I can sense it won't get me further for sense making as I hoped for. I am a Greenlandic/Danish with big families in both countries, thus, I am highly affected by this.
