American territorial aggression normalizes it geopolitically. If the US gets to invade and take countries, why shouldn't Russia or China? It's a dangerous precedent which makes the world less safe overall.

I do feel in many ways the EU is surrounded by enemies and is left with no choice but to fight or diminish. Its a dangerous situation for some of the best-trained, technologically capable, and, quite frankly, experienced countries at fighting war on the planet. Influence is under attack in Africa, Russia is pressing from the east, and now in the far west America is ready to attack.

The EU countries need nuclear profileration and they need to rearm quicker than they are doing.

I know your intention is good, however I would refrain from attacking or jailing the far right politicians. It would only create a precendent for the far right to jail politicians on the left later on. Currently it looks like Trump wants to put Jerome Powell in jail, like the Trump admin can basically create any excuse and put you in jail. Hell, they can even unleash the ICE agents upon you.

The Democrats need to fix the existing US problems when they get back into power again, which is next to impossible at this point. I've really no idea what they can do but just to reset the US at this point, which comes with a lot of pain.

Perhaps someone needs to point out people need energy to you. So they have to buy it from somewhere, either the US or Russia are the easiest sellers.
In 2027 LNG is scheduled to be phased out from Russia to the EU, so I don't doubt they are stocking up as they make other arrangements. Chat GPT also reminds me that buying now is a cheap price whereas later when the bans come in it will not be cheap, and as these countries are transit hubs (i.e not buying for themselves), many countries are putting orders through them.
