Why would Paramahansa exaggerate stuff in his book?

I assumed he wouldn't lie being an exceptional spiritual teacher. But I guess its for marketing and increasing the spread of Kriya Yoga.

Why though?

A deeper teaching / lesson that will make sense in good timing :)
