solipsism is completely irrelevant

20 posts in this topic

Solipsism is the truth. I have directly experienced a state of absolute solipsism where I felt only I existed. However in practice solipsism is completely irrelevant and has zero bearing on life. Others will still act like others, they will never say they are the same person as you, they act like other people so they are in essence other people. Where does that leave solipsism? As a mere curiosity.

@strangelooper

True solipsism is realizing moment to moment ALL you experience is you, peace within you, your arising and falling thoughts, feelings and emotions, sounds, whats appears and disappears in your vision. Any ideas about who are you, where are you, people around you what you project on them as 'other people', the personality you project on them, basically realizing it's just one show. A manifestation of your infinite power. you are shiva-consciousness, God, the self, being, whatever you wanna call it, and your absolute infinite power to manifest anything in real time as shakti, so you are shiva-shakti, never separate.

So try to deconstruct the illusion of you versus other people and basically internal and external world.

Solipsism is not the truth.

The Truth is the truth.

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance of separative... unity...

@strangelooper Why is it that solipsism is mostly applied specifically to people?  What about trees, animals, earth, sky, the sun and the moon?

When you see a tree is the tree just a tree or do you see the tree as you?

When the secret is revealed to you, you will know that you are not other than God, but that you yourself are the object of your quest.

To me solipsism is the fact that only I truly exist. It's not so much about other things being me. That might be true on some existential level but it is not applied to real life so it doesn't matter. Other things will never be me in this world, they act like separate entities and that's just the way it is.

What do you mean by "I" and "exist"

In my humble opinion I doesn't exist, everything else exists inside of I.

Hmm.
Solipsism elevates the individual ego to God-status.
Non-duality dissolves the individual entirely.

You really think your puny experience of life is all there is to God's incomprehensible, immeasurable glory?

You're yet to understand that the singular infinite experience can be experienced from infinite points of view simultaneously by the One Self. And that your single puny point of view is nothing in comparison to God's infinite capacity to experience life from infinite points of view. This insight flips your puny understanding of God into something that is infinitely more profound and glorious and true.

The point is that even when this illusory boundary between the perceived and the perceiver disappears, you still lack insight into the infinity of experiences on infinite levels. For a very simple reason: you still dream that you are a human being, moreover, a person with a name, a history, and plans for the future. Perhaps you have jumped and peered for a moment beyond the prison walls of your own mind. Many here manage such jumps from time to time. But there is still a long way to go before the heavy gates of the mind are opened and you can stroll outside. Yes. Even strolls. First, there are timid walks and quick returns to the familiar. Especially before night. For a long, dark night you want to be safe. Much water will flow in the rivers of the world before you permanently leave this nonexistent prison. Before I myself leave it. From No One to Someone and back to No One. A very long journey, and at the same time, a sudden sigh in Infinity.

Are You God?

Yes and No - depends Who asks the question.

Thing is that No One doesn't ask.

No One's answer is Silence.

The greatest moral and ethical arguments stem from realizing that any harm done to another is actually harm done to yourself. All harm is self-harm.
