To appreciate real life 

It is not that mundane compared to the regular Joe’s life. That is why there are playing it. 
 

And that is why it is n1 game in the world.

In Freud terms, GTA is basically a reality where you temporarily throw away your super-ego(morals, ethics) and allow your otherwise supressed basic instincts take over(sex, violence, immorality, anger) which corresponds to your Id.

Basically, it is a game for you to do everything you might want to do in real life but can't. A chaotic playground .

Unironically, the game is a fertile shadow work space
