Where does that heavy metals go, does it get eliminated from the body.

It binds to charcoal and you poo it out.

Activated charcoal is a miracle substance. Truly. Like magic.

But charcoal will absorb medicines, vitamins, and potentially nutrients, so it's not ideal to consume it too much with your food. Unclear how it affects protein absorption.

I don't buy powders anymore but I would usually look for something natural, organic, one ingredient, like hemp seed powder.

@Leo Gura AC is great during detox, best taken in the evening before bed. you'll sleep much better.

And always at least 2 hours before or after food, never with food. Not an everyday thing either, few times a week.

@Ryan M I wouldn't buy any protein powders. Why not eat nature's protein: eggs, steak, small fish, poultry etc.? these are much more bioavailable.
The problem with protein powder is, you almost never know what's in the protein powder, unless you know it's proper sourced.

It looks like lead arsenate was the most widely used pesticide, only becoming illegal in the u.s. in 1991, but soil is contaminated forever. The protein source, soy and peas absorb lead from the soil, cows absorb lead from their feed, a lot of protein powder sources coming from even more polluted china. And industrial processing equipment obviously contains some lead, probably even more common in China.

Then how does all other food not contain lead?

What's so special about protein powders

Concentrating a food concentrates the impurities.

To get one pound of whey protein they need to boil down like 20 gallons of milk. You get 20 gallons of impurities in one pound.

It is also why large fish like shark and swordfish are not safe to eat. They concentrate heavy metal in their bodies by eating lots of smaller fish.

You should avoid highly concentrated foods unless it is very pure. But it won't be pure to cut costs.

I'm looking into this thing called egg ovalbumin protein powder.

https://nakednutrition.com/products/egg-white-protein-powder

This brand seems to be particularly clean (at a first glance, careful with deceitful biased studies, I haven't put much time into the research)

Heavy metal testing on each batch. The taste may not be great but nothing a banana smoothie can't fix. Also idk if it could give you any gut issues since it's egg.

Lmk if any of you has tried this exact brand and type if protein
