How do we know if silencing someone is worse than making them a martyr?

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

What do you mean

If you kill someone because you disagree with them it automatically turns them into a martyr and you into a madman.

In the latter he does not call for violence himself.

I ment it in the sense that the social impact of keeping him alive is greater or less than the social impact of his death + martyr status.

options

  • Keeping him alive, social impact: ? 30 years of influence
  • Death + martyr status. Social impact: ? trump gets more power
  • Death, Social impact: ?

I think using a gun to kill someone is the least effective way because it strengthens the enemy.

They have to die in an uncertain and ambiguous way, so there's no fuel added to the fire.

In the long run I’d say the social impact outweighs the martyr status; but it also distills the idea that leftists are mentally ill so ultimately it would likely benefit the center or even the center-right.

If what i say makes sense.

Out of the topic but Not everyone who gets killed is a martyr and not everyone who kills is a madman.

There is nothing automatic about it.

Except if they are a danger you have to be crazy to kill someone or wish for someone's death.

Charlie Kirk was acting in reaction to certain moments in history that we are in currently relative to distrust of the government. Killing him doesn't change that and it's also undemocratic. Killing your political opponents is some Congo shit.

The mentality of certain Americans is quiet polarized, undemocratic and apolitical. There's a general lack of interest in negotiating political disagreement or even acknowledging it as such, instead seeing it as moral or intellectual failure. It's disturbing when killing someone is seen as legitimate because it shows that people aren't doing politics. It's inane culture war. Bad tribe bad.
