What do you mean

If you kill someone because you disagree with them it automatically turns them into a martyr and you into a madman.

In the latter he does not call for violence himself.

I ment it in the sense that the social impact of keeping him alive is greater or less than the social impact of his death + martyr status.

I think using a gun to kill someone is the least effective way because it strengthens the enemy.

They have to die in an uncertain and ambiguous way, so there's no fuel added to the fire.

In the long run I’d say the social impact outweighs the martyr status; but it also distills the idea that leftists are mentally ill so ultimately it would likely benefit the center or even the center-right.

Out of the topic but Not everyone who gets killed is a martyr and not everyone who kills is a madman.

There is nothing automatic about it.

He's not martyred, his wife dances on his grave. No one cares, kids are massacred every month in the u.s. and it makes no impact, turning point being a great example of massacres having no impact on his audience or undecideds.
