@Princess Arabia what does the word "dream " mean in your terminology?

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

There is no separation. Pointers towards the truth? The words, the pointer, the so-called truth, all the same. You're talking observer stuff. Witness. Dream. Illusion. "The truth remains unchanged and beyond words" suggests continuity which can only be in the dream. There is no mistake to be made, ever, but only in the dream. Seeing beyond words to the truth they indicate suggests time and space, there's none. Wake up. Ooops, no one there to wake up.

So, if there is no one there to wake up or no one here, why do you even bother to write? 😊

you are just stuck in nothing and rejecting duality. That's mistake of neo adviata.

Moreover, "I know, therefore I am" is the mind claiming authority on Truth, and that's the biggest illusion. Truth / You beyond the knowing.

The individual. The one that thinks it's separate. It's that sense of separation that comes with it everything else that arises in that energy. Time, space, linearity, here, there, I am, me, continuity, autonomy, ownership, all of it.

Please stop using neo advaita excuse with me. I don't know what that is, you do, or you wouldn't be mentioning that name. I said there's no one to wake up. Those words were expressed here. What that means is there is no one already and no one to make a decision to or not to write these words, so, the very question, "why do I bother to write" isn't saying anything because I already said there's no one. I'm not rejecting duality. How can there be a rejection of what doesn't actually exists. Duality cannot stand on it's own, therefore it's not a reality. It is the dream. Make sense and I'll listen.

And to "whom", "you" are writing to? 😊

There is simply writing happening and apparent reading happening, by no one. It's just simply happening. When you pee do you say who am I peeing to. Isn't peeing a verb. It's just peeing happening.

See, but you know what duality is. İt is a dream, as these so called words. Otherwise, it will be impossible to connect these words 😊 body is doing right? Hands? 😊

Yes, as Awakening is the beginning of new Potentials within You and all of Us, Potentials that are Life Enhancing and Empowering, if You know of it and ignore it then Your not accessing this Potential and that is Tragedy, which is the main problem in the world today, very few are accessing any sort of Potential within them that is beyond basic Survival Instinct and Accumulation of Ppl, places and things which in essence is destroying the Earth as we know it.. The more that try to access this Potential is beneficial to all Life on the planet and sure makes life more Enjoyable!

Of course. No self speaks through insight that arises in the moment. But when you say “no one is here” or “oops, no one to wake up,” that becomes the greatest mind trap. Because even then, no self is still speaking through the body, and that is duality.

And when you reject duality, you remain trapped within the mind.

The “no one here” notion is still a thought, an expression of the ego trying to dissolve itself. To reject duality mentally is still to cling to the mind. True realization is beyond both duality and its rejection.

OK. Doesn't change a thing.

Is there any point to awakening in this life when truth and reality will be revealed to you at death anyway? Isn’t life for living not for awakening? Or at least is awakening only for the purposes of serving you better in this life? I’ve primarily pursued spiritual growth for that reason

Disclaimer: I’m intuiting death will reveal all (death = awakening) but I do not know that for sure. The death of the ego and dissolution of self brings us to the divine

Edit: to expand, many of us intuit that life only has meaning if we give it meaning. For me awakening only has meaning in that it serves us better in this world. To be more ‘actualised’ in the world of form. There’s no meaning in awakening for the sake of awakening. Why do it?

1. I know this seems obvious but the point of awakening and whatever meaning you get from it will be a personal meaning that you derive yourself. For me it increased my appreciation for life as I see all of life as living art in motion.

2. Death will definitely wake you up and reconnect you in a much grander way so if you want to wait for your human vessel to expire that is certainly an option.

3. Seeing awakening only having value in terms of serving your survival can be a stumbling block. To advance in this work you have to want the truth so bad you are willing to die for it. If that is not your true hearts desire then that means you don't really want it. If you don't that's fine it doesn't make you any less.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

Whatever meaning we ascribe for awakening serves a purpose to progress further. Whether it is by just knowing god, escaping suffering or serve the world. Trying to put meaning to it just puts another barrier between yourself and truth. Truth is outside the fram of reference of the mind, dropping barriers is the wise choice. Not saying to sit down and manually remove every obstacle that hinders yourself from Truth at once. There is time for growth and living life. Life is interconnected as within so without. Nature itself is anti-ego. If we are on the path of awakening it sure will help out, a circumstance will come in due time to free or even force the meaning to be dropped, but that will happen when it happens. Then the Truth will be known and no further meaning will be needed. Death reveals all only when we are still alive. By dying slowly into Truth.

It's tautological...Awakening is awakening for itself.. it doesn't need a reason because it's Pure Truth.   @Xonas Pitfall this one's for you.

Wow that surprised me! Funny thing is I feel that way about you, you were one of the people on these forums I learned from the most (I bookmarked your responses along with Leo's when I first joined) so it's an honor to hear you say that. It's also one of the reasons I got confused when Leo said nobody on the forum was really awake, YOU ARE CLEARLY SO AWAKE that it exudes in all of your posts!! Also I sent you a message I think a year ago and you never responded lol.

Yeah I agree, I called it the same thing some time ago :)

But some people seem to equate awakening primarily with insights, and the ability to explain things, or to have highly complex theories about how life works but not the small everyday behavior that IMO actually shapes the world. Then there are divisions being made, your are awake but not enlightenment, there is enlightenment but not sainthood etc...all this play of words, further divisions, and more concepts and all I am thinking is: really? :S

There are people with e-penis complexes, but don't confuse this with making accurate and detailed distinctions. Any talking about awakening/enlightenment is to make distinctions, and making distinctions is not the truth. If you prefer making lousy or surface-level distinctions, that's an intellectual preference you can have. But this is indeed just a preference, it does not reflect anything about the direct knowledge of the truth. If anything (and if you want a behavior to indicate whether somebody is awake/enlightened), it would be making incoherent and ill-formed distinctions.
