You are Enlightenment already.

No we aren’t. Ignorance/Delusion is the default. Enlightenment is insight into reality not hereditary.

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

If you already are,

not as a person, not as a story, but as Being itself,

then “enlightenment” is just another dream word trying to arrive at what was never absent.

The dream word is all there is.

No, you are absolutely not enlightened. You are a closed structure created by the evolution and the civilization that can't open itself at will. You are trapped in your mind, and you don't know how to solve the enigma.

If you think that everyone is enlightened because enlightenment is just "this" without thought, well, no. It's deeper. It's not like: there is not though then love arises, it's that you are the reality and the reality is absolutely alive, and it's flow is deep and infinitely intelligent. And the nature of that flow is the totality. The totality is the source of the infinite dance and you are the dance and the source.

Do you perceive in all it's depth? It's not just "this", it's the dance of God

These kind of teachings are stupid.

None of these people realize what God is.

You will never realize God listening to these fools.

Stop assuming they know God.

Serious yogis do not do decades of work for no reason. Just an ounce of common sense tells you that. These people have not done serious consciousness work so they don't even know what it is or why it is done. They think they can smartass their way out of it with some clever thinking.

This is spirituality by fools for fools.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Leo Gura you know what kind of response your comment may evoke from Neo-Advaita keyboard warriors: God is already all there is .you can't get it wrong .there is no point for God to realize God. It's all God. Its all the Self .whether you realize God or take a shit or have a wet dream about Mia Khalifa etc It's all suchness/absolute/God/love doing what it does.

Nothing happens in a dream. And words are also the dream. The dream is recognised for what it is, that’s all.

He's basically saying there's no inner work to be done. These types of teachers need a slap in the face.

@Wilhelm44 The one doing the inner work is a dream character recognising the illusory nature of an apparent autonomous identity recognising the illusion for what it is, and is not..

Yeah, but it it still needs to be done. No one else is going to deconstruct the mind and reality for you. I sometimes wonder what these neo advaita teachers are actually like in real life. Im sorry, but they all seem like dicks to me.

Deeds are done, no doer ( thing)  thereof. Further investigation reveals there is no independent existence of every ( thing) around you. There is nothing to be found.

Well, at least you are saying that investigation is required. The point is that we have a whole lot of concepts and psychological issues that cause us unneccessary suffering. These also need to be investigated, if we want to be at peace. Simply having the realization that you are not the doer etc is not enough.

@Wilhelm44 I’ve done the work. The not enough thoughts have all vanished here, for me, anyway. No one here is obligated to believe me, of course, and that’s their entitled prerogative to do so. Ultimately only I know what I know.

I just happen to enjoy listening to the ramblings of Benjamin Smyth. Couldn’t care less what other people say about him. I am open to listen to everyone, and when I do I then make up my own mind about what I’ve listened to.

I particularly enjoy listening to Leo Gura videos and comments too.

My question is, how is this guy being helpful to someone starting out on their spiritual journey. You said yourself that you have done the work. This guy is basically telling people there is no work to be done. Im sure his teachings have their place and purpose. Im pointing out that these teachings can also be dangerous and misleading.
