How do you manage spiritual and self actualization work when you have an 8 hours job.

I want to meditate, contemplate, read, but i genuinely struggle due to my job which tires me and makes it impossible for me to do this work. My job and exercising leave little room and time or energy for the activities i mentioned above. How do you deal with that ?

If job is 8 hour and you are able to let it go after 8 hours it's not such a big problem.

In my case job always have occupied all of my free time, in the sense that my life was organized around job. And it was difficult to let it go after job ended. It required a kind of thinking which stayed with me for rest of the day.

I started meditating spontaneously during commute and free time or breaks, or whenever I could, I just started by contemplating on things or became very aware of all that was happening around and inside me while resisting nothing and welcoming everything, with time i realized that i was already welcoming everything, resistance was just a thought ( a kind of sense making that i was used to.)

Other important thing was my walks which i liked long, it was a kind of meditation for me and which gradually turned into running and walking sometimes and sometimes only running.

You seems to be doing it already. A hard job is good cause then when you get home you want to rest. Just sit there. You are already doing it and seeing what is stopping you just keep doing it.

Clearly your mind is not tired your body is tired so just sit there and let your imagination go and describe what you are seeing.

Work on breaking away from wage slavery, I'm doing it right now.

@Husseinisdoingfine The thing is i want to make rap music as my life purpose, however realistically to make professional music, you need a bunch of money, therefore i think imma enroll in university with a computer science major per i soldi (for the money), and then work on my life purpose that if it worked and i gained an audience will allow me to quit my computer science job, if not i will keep doing it, because i like being creative and making rap music, it's my passion.

You need a morning and evening routine that would allow you to do your spiritual and self actualisation work

@Dayo Dude i get tired after work, i need time for rest and chilling doing nothing, i can't just live while having to work 24/7. Like either on my regular job, exercising or spiritual and self actualization work. lmao.

@Hojo This is bullshit. You won't make spiritual progress with this attitude. Spirituality is hardcore WORK. You need hardcore discipline to sit down, close your eyes and remain there for an hour everyday. This is serious work, not easy to do. Or to sit down with a notepad and focus your attention on a question for an hour a day, and note the answers. It is difficult WORK. If what you described was true everyone will be enlightened, guess what, it is obviously not the case.

Bro imo you are engaging, to some degree, in all or nothing thinking.

It may not possible to do everything you want to do at the moment. But you can still implement some of these self actualization habits imo.

If I was you I would focus on escaping wage slavery first. Hardcore spiritual practice can come when you are sufficiently gorged on success and you have more time and financial freedom. You can bootstrap a rapping career by combining particular niches that require little start-up capital.

Alternatively you could renounce modern life and join a monastery of some kind though you'll have less freedom long-term with this plan.

@Majed I would post stuff on socials at least 5 times a week. Start with 20 second snippets of songs and work up to short form music videos and eventually perform in public.

I would argue that tedious life is part of spiritual work man especially stuff like mastering your emotions and discipline so that you can eventually achieve financial freedom. It’s what I’m working on myself, fucking easier said than done too.

Meditating in the wood about how you’re a multi consciousness being is one part of it but that is not truth as it’s not the reality of our existence.

@Majed its 1 day at a time. You dont instantly start drawing for 10 hours a day when you want to become an artist. You do it over 20 years gradually. Its the same as every other activity you do. Thinking you can instantly start doing hard-core meditation will make you not do it. The same way if you cant draw like a professional the first session you would just give up. Its not that hard core bro. You need to reprogram your mind slowly.

Require a high skills which allow you to work part time. Or buy an AI robot and let him do all your work.
