People are mocking this influencer for his morning routine

Ashton Hall is a 29 year old influencer who, after failing to make it to the NFL, now publishes fitness and lifestyle content.

Here is the video he published, which is now being mocked.

 

This video has been turned into a meme for several reasons. Most notably, because if you skip to the 0:55 minute mark, he jumped into the pool at 7:36, but doesn't actually hit the water until 7:40, implying that he has been floating in the air for four minutes.

But the video is as well being mocked for more reasons, such as when in the 1:15 minute mark, he appears to be talking to no one, and saying that "we need at least another ten thousand". But ten thousand what exactly? Ten thousand bottles of Saratoga ice water? For which he seems fond of dunking his head into.

Of course, other content creators have now taken to mocking his morning routine, spinning all sorts of skits and parodies made to bastardize the original morning routine video upload.

Its a marketing tactic, he obviously doesnt do this. Hes essentially mocking all the other types of these videos by making an overly exaggerated version of an "entrepeneur grindset routine." And a pretty effective tactic as well since that vid has gotten over 1 billion impressions across social media. That video alone probably made him millions

lol, I don’t buy that.

I know my fair share of guys who actually live like that unironically - and honestly, I used to be one of them.

This is symptomatic of a very narcissist, atomized masculinity. Notice how in his videos, the “other” is always just anonymous passersby or disembodied hands serving him.

I think it’s not only valid but important to critique this kind of sigma grindset bullshit - because frankly, it’s a miserable way to live, even if it looks cool to some insecure men from the outside.

Ehh, he doesn’t look that freakish.

Good genes, diet, and training can get you there naturally.

He’s probably on TRT, given how deep he seems to be into physiological optimization, but that can be a very healthy and sustainable thing if you don’t overdo it - so I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing.

He is just a tiny part of this new era of influencers with aesthetic routines. I respect it they’re just trying to improve themselves and their lives . It can be satisfying to have an elaborate morning routine which each step having its purpose. It was a long time since I immersed myself in cold water I think it’s time! I’ve heard it’s good to drain the lymphatic system!
