I didn't watch it(waiting for torrent) , but I think it got really bad press cause of politics 100%, Spielberg choose Rachel for West Side Story among thousands of most talented actresses, trust Spielberg if all....

@OBEler, Disney cares about the amount of money it would make from a movie without improving it.

Big companies like Disney have never actually been woke, let alone progressive.

They might have made movies that have had a progressive undertone.

That movie made 607 millions dollars on word wide box office, source: box office mojo (I'm on my mobile so I can't copy link) but to be on topic, to be harsh, she isn't "Hollywood hot" incels don't like that, she's brown, and she said some "bad" PR things during press tours, she is Pro Palestine, Gal Gadot is pro Israel, movie is green, movie came out during Trump who is red so it's 100% political.....combine all that and you get disaster.....and Disney is American holy thing, you don't touch classics, same thing happened with Little Mermaid......

But it's all so subjective in the end, art especially, I'm gay as fuck and I couldn't watch wicked more then 15min even though it gotten nominated for bunch of Oscars, got 700 million on box office, got great reviews from critics and movie goers......

I think the bad reviews is not because of politics, from what i'm reading it's because of bad script, dialogue, story structure, CGI, performance etc.

The clips I saw from Snow White weren't much better lol. It's not exactly motivating to pay money to watch even if I didn't care about her politics at all.
