Ceramic is a coating that chips off. You are eating ceramic chemicals.

The best pans are stainless steel. They last forever too. I only use steel.

How do you clean them? I have ones and work nicely but I find it hard to keep them as shiny as other material pans.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

Beware often PFAS-free only tests for a subset of PFAS; they replace banned PFAS with newer PFAS.

That’s EVIL. But, alas, the convenience outweighs any potential concerns from that for me.

In fact, I used to drink high amounts of PFOA-infected tap water, likely for over 2 decades (age 0-24) without even knowing, back when I used to live in NJ. So tons of PFAS in me.  They didn’t tell me about that until I had already left NJ 💀 But I’m still here and ain’t dead yet!

Stainless steel all day every day - bar one well seasoned cast iron pan.

I don't use anything else.

If you fail to cook well on them - particularly eggs - look up The Leidenfrost effect and how to effectively utilize it.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

Copper

Me I use shitty scratched-up full PFAS pans. Between that and the lack of sleep I'll probably die of cancer lol.

Just soap and water.

They will get stained with oil over years of use. They won't be shiny. But it makes no practical difference. It is like a seasoned pan.

You can search YT for how to make steel pans shiny again. There are various tricks.

If the ceramic pan is high quality, you don't use hard metal utensils on it and do not expose it to sudden sharp temperature changes it won't chip off.

If the coating compromises over time you can simply get another one.

Stainess steel is acceptable, but it is an alloy that contains nickel and chromium and if scratched, or if you cook using too high of a temperature tiny particles could get into the food.

I doubt that steel is unsafe.

Ceramic paint is def bad.

Every serious kitchen uses steel to cook.

If steel is not safe, nothing is safe.

Carbon steel is 99% iron, 1% carbon. Iron is a vitamin, carbon is what makes up everything you eat.

Chrome and nickel in stainless can affect people's brains.

And carbon steel cooks alot better, it's what chefs prefer. More conductive and builds up a season that is non-stick.

*You can find them online at restaurant suppliers for great prices.

I enjoy using the stainless steel pan.  It teaches you how to cook too.
