It does for the entire species, it can happen over one generation for a LeBron James or Serena. Look at dog breeding. Imagine NBA and WNBA stars marrying and having daughters. Athletic women are more avoided in the sexual market, athletic men are highly regarded, at the pro level having several wives and lots of children. Look at all the NBA players that are sons of NBA players.

@Leo Gura Hi Leo in regards to your two posts on India. We have just been in Sri Lanka doing the exact same things the young chinese woman was doing and maybe even more dangerous things such as walking without guides through slums at noon.

I can happily report Sri Lanka which is next to India is nothing like this at all. We had zero cases of harrasment or feeling unsafe. Sri Lanka is a predominantly Bhuddist nation.

I was shocked by the behavior in both videos and what a contrast of two countries so near each other. We used to live in Africa, and here yes we had to be a lot more careful and were robbed violently on the beach once.

For a bit of context I travelled with my mom who had been volunteering teaching English by herself in a small village there 2 months before I arrived. She reported it having been a safe country with friendly helpful people.

We did see maaaaany young foreigners both men and women completely inappropriatly dress attire (tight skin clothes) and we both commented that this is probably not a smart idea when travelling in such countries.

Related with this post, be aware of over generosity in these countries. In Brasil I was in a bread shop and was so hot. I Decided to offer some icecream for the ladies who work there, just 3 people so the price for icecream was not big. One of them had my number and Whatsapp because a room she wanted to rent to a friend of mine. Later on out of nowhere she send me a message asking for money. 

Another day in the local central square her child of 5 that I dont even knew runned towards me and asked to me for buy food for her. So, if you want to be generous be from your heart, but be ready to give a hand and easily get your arm eaten.

There are extremely high developed places in Brazil. Do not believe what you hear on a documentary.

Search for Florianópolis, Gramado, Canela, Pomerode, Brasília, Curitiba, Campos do Jordão, Balneário Camboriu.

We are mostly a stage blue/orange country.

I am sure most unhinged people come from the favelas. At least that's what happens here in Argentina with the villas, although you see it mostly as a friendly place. But in reality visiting those places is like playing russian roulette. I am not even a tourist and a teenager girl tried to rob me near a villa.

There are tons of such people in South America preying on tourists. The difference with India is the streets are cleaner.

There is something called "Street Intelligence". This is something really interesting to develop. 

When I was hardcore into pickup (Nightgame), I grew a lot of street intelligence.

I had to deal with drug addicts, drunk people, fights, dangerous places, walking alone on villas, dealing with violent security guards, angry woman, crazy Uber drivers, theft.

Nowadays, I get to a point to look at people to cold read them masterfully. I feel the smell of violent evil people from miles, their way of behaving, language, vocabulary, posture, eyes, dressing.

Pickup is about social intelligence.

No, it's a slum. By definition, if a crime family runs the scene it's not a safe area.

Where I'm from it was so safe that you didn't ever think about it. It wasn't uncommon to leave one's door unlocked at night.

I assume you don't have direct experience of a favela/brazillian ghetto.

They have millions of dollars invested on the favela. What they don't want is cops doing investigation down there, believe me.

The sovereign power not being in the hands of police/government sounds problematic to an existential degree to me. What I enjoy, yes is a privilege, but also the bare minimum in my opinion. 

There is no accountability or recourse in a system run by thugs. If a member of the family decided to rape your mother there would be nothing you could do about it.

The justice is done rapidly inside favelas. They have their own moral code.

I agree with the rape argument but I tend to think they don't have it in their moral code. 

Family is sacred to thugs here in Brazil.
