Sounds so profound but ..

About as profound as it gets for rationalists.

Just kidding

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

@Leo Gura Leo your recent blog post is great . Particularly I liked the part of skepticism , questioning assumptions , direct experience is the closest thing to truth, also the philosophy of self-doubt  . I discovered Actualized.org when I was 17 , now I am 26 and you know what people hate philosophy in real life . I am talking about people in real life . I talked about a person of my own age, that person asked that who is your idol and I told Socrates . It was mind blowing or per say surprising to me that they didn't knew Socrates . Hello that person couldn't even pronounce Socrates . That's how deluded people are in their own culture and religion . I am also deluded but not only that the main point is that I am wrong . You may not reply to my post but here is the thing - I have discovered that challenging your own mental assumptions is one of the worthwhile journeys that one's mind can take rather than seeling the comfort of living in a positive or negative beleifs .

Life has proven to me again and again - I don't know is truer than any positive or negative certainity of an event happening in the future .

Questions - Am I going in the right direction when I choose questioning my thoughts ,assumptions instead of choosing to be confident in self-belief ?

Is self-belief is better or self-questioning better ? ( I assume self-questioning is better )

Is direct experience questionable ? ( Since direct experience exists until we are experiencing things or is it a dream ?)

Thank you much appreciation from a long time subscriber to your videos since 2017.

You need to see as much of the evidence as possible without jumping to conclusions or making assumptions.

You also need to be unbiased and committed to truth, not some agenda.

What about in hard cases? Where the law does not point to a clear answer

Legal cases have standards for judgment like most likely, or beyond reasonable doubt.

There is no guaranteed way. It is always imperfect and not absolute.

I'm asking more of a question of what is the right legal response to a situation. Rather than what facts are true or not.

@Ulax Your question is too vague so I am not going to guess what you mean.

Depends on your goals. If you want a more spiritual life, then definitely yes.

Both are needed in the right balance.

You should have belief in your higher self, your vision, your life purpose, your ability to improve your life, your ability to be a powerful creator. Don't doubt those. At least not until you've achieved some success.

Doubt yourself in a way where you don't become a blackpilled victim.

Quote

Is direct experience questionable ? ( Since direct experience exists until we are experiencing things or is it a dream ?)

Everything is questionable, but not everything benefits from questioning. Feel free to doubt direct experience all you want, but eventually you will notice that you don't have access to anything more real or true than your experience. If you doubt experience then you're basically stuck forever knowing nothing.

Skepticism is good as a tool, but it shouldn't be your only tool. If something is just true, doubting it becomes an error and a waste of time.

It is useful to doubt raw experience just so you can realize that doubting it is futile since even your doubt is raw experience.

But I think that not only spiritual people but philosophers , even scientists need skepticism in order to you know doing better science ,better philosophy , also I didn't know this one - even better self-help.

Questioning not only changed my life by giving me better jobs but also it helped me look at reality carefully like in case I can admit that when I was in college and was getting rejected by girls - I didn't looked at the fact that other girls were attracted to me  but also I was exclusively focussing on rejections ,posting my suffering from rejections on this forum whereas you know as attraction is counterintuitive - The girl who was crush of whole batch approached me ( I didn't had a crush on her ). Multiple women have me signals due to my vulnerability and authenticity .

Do you think that even though you shot - How to get laid series but your episodes - Assumption is the mother of all Fuckups and the counterintuitive nature of life are far more valuable for guys trying to get laid or trying find a girlfriend?

Yes, it is useful in all those areas. But doubt can also be counter-productive to success.

Self-doubt is  a long-term investment in your mental development. It sacrifices immediate confidence for depth in the future.

Self-doubt can be misused.

Hard to say. It depends on what the guy is lacking. Some guys lack practical skills, others lack deep inner game. Both are important so there is no need to choose one.
