Salvia is excellent when done at the right dose.

People are being fools and overdosing on salvia, then blaming the salvia.

This is like blaming your car for driving off a cliff at 150 miles per hour.

Prior to the salvia trip - I did salvia because I didn't give a fuck. I didn't care if the trip was good or bad. I was trying to escape everything. Seemed like a good escape. WRONG. Nihilism was from trauma prior. I think I wanted to die for a long time.

Damn, i get the sentiment. i'm afraid to trip because i feel like i will lose my human concerns and caring about others that i feel is keeping me here.

I still don't understand what the utilitarian reason of suffering during salvia states.

I went HAM with that shit. Also mushrooms. Every time I have had a fucked up trip on mushrooms it was too high a dose.

I don't react like this to LSD, weed, DMT or MDMA though. Just seems to be salvia and mushrooms. Way too easy for me to OD.

Probably doesn't help I took doses based on my mates capacity (who are men) - and I am a 48kg girl.

It is just a side-effect of your survival.

Your question is like not understanding why surgery hurts. If the body requires surgery, why does it still hurt? Because you are evolved to survive within a very narrow band of situations. Outside those situations your body/mind will react inappropriately.

Salvia is not what your psyche has evolved for. So it is scary.

I guess that makes sense, yes.

Yet the surgery is being done while still fully hallucinating the human body.

I was always under the impression that when states of consciousness get so radical where entire memories are unimagined and come undone, just like in the tom cruise analogy - "evolutionary" processes also come undone, why would they not?

Isn't it weird that the materialism of evolution and its effects on fear and suffering are still present even when you're turned into a literal clock or snail in a carnvival of machine elves who are torturing you?

Why is it easier for material reality to come undone during trips like that than the evolutionary psyche which itself evolved through evolutionary conditions?

If you suddenly became Tom Cruise, you would be freaking out and run to a mental hospital.

You are not appreciating how serious it is to lose your entire sense of identity. It is worse than death.

Psychedelics do not wipe out all your memories and psyche.

@Leo Gura If I suddenly became Tom Cruise at his peak in the 90s and married to Nicole Kidman, I'd keep my mouth shut and roll with the situation.

Now if I spontaneously spawned in some fucked up Scientology ritual, I'm out...

My first LSD experience was the most profound experience of my life but after that LSD felt really intense for some reason.
mushrooms always teach me something and leave feeling whole and introspective.
LSD can be a coin flap despite a positive mindset and good set and setting for me.

Salvia was the first hallucinogenic substance I tried. My mate told me it was like weed but "weirder". I was lucky it was not as fucked as it gets for others (it was advertised as 20x and I had one big pull and held it in for a long time) but it stays with me to this day as being the first moment my mind became aware of just how profoundly absurd psychedelics could get. It laid the foundation for my future trips on other substances and allowed me to interface with them smoother, overriding a lot of fear due to what I learnt from my shocking salvia experience.

The most bizarre part of the experience was experiencing third-person style dissociation, perceiving myself and the room from a disembodied, birds eye perspective. Strangest moment of my life at that point. Must have been like 16 ffs.

Low dose mushrooms seem to be okay on me. I seem to reach some threshold very easily where I lose it. Repeated experiences of losing all my teeth, regrowing them from strange locations (knuckles, between toes, from my forehead), and people turning into incorporeal wraiths with huge, floating red orbs for eyes. The eyes are particularly demonic. Sometimes they fall out of the faces I see, or burst.

The variance of drug effects across individuals depending on physiology is crazy. LSD isn't too bad on my system!

Those are some wacky visuals. I never had experiences like this on mush or lsd. It always feels like expansion to me, I become whole room. Then if I think of people, I see them as mind creating. There will be geometric patterns. Few times on mushroom I have seen, me taken to some weird hospital settings and lower back operated by alien like beings.

Weakness makes Humility

I really enjoyed this. It will be a good slow burner for many. Long enduring and intermittently resonant.

The implied reversal of the usual moral hierarchy is very well done. A strong person may be less developed in one respect than the vulnerable person; strength is doing the work to insulate them from realities they have not yet to to confront.

Yet he mentioned in the Infinity of Gods video that he connected to the other Consciousness which would make it non-private again, which makes no sense.

Why would that not make sense?

Whatever he gets access to is always going to be private to him, leaving out the ones that are inaccessible at that moment.

I wonder if you can get access to all of them all at once. That would be truly insane.

The same logic applies to sensory fields.

There cannot exist a sensory field that is both intersecting and independent of yours at the same time. If a form within a sensory field experiences its own sensory phenomena, the field of that form cannot exist independently outside the overarching field that contains it, due to those sensory fields being qualitatively identical and only non-identical ones can exist independently. So you have different sensory fields, e.g., auditory. There is the potential for other kinds of sensory fields to exist, and all of them would be private to you.

By the way, I only watched a very small portion of the beginning of that video a long time ago, because it was way too foreign a thing to understand.
