  1. Still no satisfactory answer to why not kill yourself for enlightenment?
Still no satisfactory answer to why not kill yourself for enlightenment?
I've researched in this forum and the things mind-body complexes have said are
There is some value to enlightenment as a physical being?
Quite frankly is it better than full ego death after physical death if not than who gives a shit? (All this better experience shit is probably ego) Why cash a lottery ticket 80 years from now when you can now
Yeah you would cashing in that lottery ticket by blowing your brains out The only reason that I'm here right now is because I am only 95% sure about enlightenment stuff with few breakthroughs/insights, meditative moments and even if I was 100% sure about enlightment with an mystical experience --> I am still uncertain if this is the best way to go about this.
It's similar to asking religious people if there is heaven after life why not blow there brains out (except they have the explanation that it is a sin to kill yourself meaning u now go to hell)
    Someone clarify this please

  4. How to feel like a kid again?
How to feel like a kid again?
I was just listening to some music from my childhood and I remembered those times when I first heard these songs as a kid. I have some fond memories from those times. It got me thinking.
Do you remember those times when you were a kid? Those sunny days, playing outside, listening to music that was trendy back then, meeting other kids and befriending them, playing video games (if you were into that), watching silly TV cartoons, etc?
Don't get me wrong, my childhood was not perfect but I often think about these times. Everything seemed new and exciting. I was fortunate enough to live a stress-free childhood and it'd be really awesome to live like that again.
My questions is: what do you guys think, how can one get back (at least part of) that typical "kid-feeling"? I know it can be difficult because as an adult, you have certain responsibilities and it's not all rainbows and sunshine but still. I believe it's possible.

Christian priest father Hurtubise finds god and leaves his body on the spot.
    Translation from timestamp :
It’s a loving god, and a loving god doesn’t seek to punish, doesn’t seek to condemn, it’s a savior ! He came to save us because he loves us, and he would want so much that in our current world of indifference, our current world of so little heart, he would want so much for us to know that it’s in love that he saved us, and he would want that each time that we see his cross we hear him tell us “see my child how I loved you and how I still love you today, if only you knew how much I love you”. For as long as you don’t get this grace of understanding the extent to which the lord loves us, you will have to ask the spirit, that he comes to pray in you, call the father incessantly so that he grants you this grace to understand the grandeur, the immensity of the love of god for each and everyone of us. Despite our sins, despite maybe a life of weakness, of misery, despite all of this, one glance from us, one gesture of forgiveness and he is ready to open to us his heart for us to get established in him for the blissful eternity. Thank you lord.
It just brings tears to my eyes..

Journeys Out of the Body - Robert Monroe 8/10
The BIBLE of Astral Projection. If youre ever curious what it is and what happens then this is your go-to book. Some of his descriptions of the astral dimensions are deeply haunting, scary and beautifully moving to the point of tears. Highly recommended.
If its so good why not 10/10? Well, its also very repetitive since its mostly him describing his experiences in a journal/diary like manner.

This is a great short book/poem about pure nonduality. Written by the Third Chinese Chán (Zen) Patriarch Jianzhi Sengcan. I recommend it highly for contemplation, for giving up the illusions you are stuck in.
    You can find it here.

Still Suffering? Part 2 (My new vid)
So this is a follow up video from last weeks, going more into how suffering can happen, traps that can come up in dealing with it, and lessons I learned along the way that helped me out.  It may a little all over the place and you may need to watch a few times if you find it helpful, since I touch on multiple different angles regarding suffering.  Let me know what you think or any questions....

The Ultimate Guide to Ramana Maharshi's Self-Inquiry
So I have just released an extensive guide just dedicated to the practice of Maharshi's self-inquiry.
There's a description of the process, but also answers to common questions, and I'll be adding to that list over time. So if you have any questions about self-inquiry not answered there, feel free to let me know.
Meanwhile, I'd love to hear any feelings, thoughts, or suggestions. I expect to be revising the guide over time.

  16. No time/energy to do self actualizing work?
No time/energy to do self actualizing work?
Why do you work 10 hours a day? Do you have to sustain a family or does it simply costs so much to survive? If you are working 10 hours a day in order to save some chunk of money that could be needed in the future to start a bussiness, then you are doing good.
If you are not then consider changing a career. You can for example invest in a camera/drone and start recording stuff during the weekends. Or buy a bunch of cleaning chemicals, a professional vaccum cleaner and start cleaning people's carpets in your garage. These kinds of bussinesses are easy to start and can turn out to be very profitable. Just start doing what most people don't want to do, but they have to or really like to have it done. Search craigslist for ideas.
If you are more of a creative type of person/know a foreign language then freelancing might be a path for you. By freelancing you could lower the time you work from 10 hours to 6 and still earn the same. You can use Udemy, Envato or YouTube video courses to learn skills needed and market your services on websites like UpWork or Fiverr, or search for gigs on Craigslist.

  17. The "Hello darkness, my old friend" technique
The "Hello darkness, my old friend" technique
The technique is extremely easy and simple, yet truly challenging.
This is a technique I discovered empirically, and it's a technique that is most likely already well known by most people on the spiritual path.
It is not something special by any means, I'm only sharing it here because I didn't see anyone talking about it, and I don't remember Leo having done a video about it.

That being said, this is the technique:
You basically think about something you are scared of, but not about the thing in itself, you IMAGINE the worst possible scenario involving this fear.
Then, when the emotion of fear appears, you switch your attention entirely to the emotion itself.
The fear may disappear after a while, so you'll have to create the scenario again in your mind, multiple times.
You will tend to focus on the thought/imaginated scenario more than the emotion at first, especially if you have trouble to accept and let emotions flow in you.
This is totally normal, and this is the reason why it's a bad idea to do this if you aren't conscious enough to not get lost in your thoughts.
Because if you do get lost easily in your thougts, what will happen is that you will imagine the situation again and again, creating more and more fear.
The thing is, if you can focus on the emotion rather than the thought/scenario in your mind, then you can actually face the fear head on.
What will happen in the long term, is that the fear will drop, you won't fear it in your mind anymore, which will give you peace of mind if you hear someone talk about it, or if you hear something making you think about it.
In reality, when the situation happens, you may still fear it, but the fear will be lessened and you will be able to handle the situation way better than if you didn't practice this technique beforehand.

I recommand to do this once per week, for 30 minutes on sunday.
On sunday because if you get a little depressed, it will wear off one or two days after, and you will be able to enjoy the rest of the week.

I hope it will help some of you, don't hesitate to give feedbacks here, it would help me once I start to do it with friends
    Much Love

The last days I have struggled to stop wasting time on the internet and other stupid distractions. It´s quite hard because they´re so addictive. I wasted several hours on the web today. When I am in a mindful state I can´t do that sort of stuff because then all pointless distractions really feel painful.

    Strong determination sitting 1000h challenge
Can I do this? I have been meditating for 2 years 2 months. I have tried Strong determination sitting before many times. My longest time has been 1 h 15 min without moving. I have completed week of strong determination sitting before, then I would got lazy and only get back to regular meditation about 30-45mins. My aim is to do at least 2 h SDS nonstop per day or 2 1 h sessions, and do more hours of SDS sitting, if i'm capable.
    Tomorrow it begins 5.1.2018
