Is rationality true?: depends on your state of Consciousness Is science true?: depends on your state of Consciousness Rationality must engage in context stripping to ground the mysterious nature of reality. But of course, Consciousness is Infinite-is it impossible to ground by stripping away context dependent variables. This is where science & rationality fail Meta Rationality-acknowledges context is King. Any rational truths or experiment can be considered partial-thus making the entire enterprise of science wrong in an absolute sense, but practical / useful in finding solutions for context laden problems. From this lens, rationality can never be true- but it can be useful. Rationalism-as a worldview invoked for sense making purposes, is neither context aware, nor construct aware. Making it highly limited as a survival system.

Reframe the discussion topic as: Consequences of political violence- when is it appropriate and when does it backfire? that would be more politically correct -
Just because something works for practical reasons doesn't mean it can't be done out of conformity. Think about how many things we adopt without actually questioning why we do it and where it came from. The point is not that we adopt things, but its the lack of investigation and questioning into the why. This is the essence of conformity.. very subtle

A lot of Sex education in schools is conformity. Most of it comes from the scientific paradigm-we are teaching kids about diseases and such (which is good), but could use more unconventional and experiential modes of learning. Having kids/teens understand what horniness is and how to manage it responsibly, creating learning environments where kids can talk openly, not just get lectured by some old professor

Haha that would be a form of voyeurism, creepy, yes - but can be authentically non conformist and isn’t illegal in this context.

Clothing- why do we wear clothes?:

22- you got a lot of time left. I’d spend the next 5-7 developing skills and building toward some kind of career. What are your skills? Do you have an advanced degree or certified in anything? You want to land a decent paying job with your skills-being able to cover basic food and shelter without assistance from a caretaker is your path to adulthood. As far as dating, it’s easier when you have your finances in order, but don’t let that stop you from going out and meeting new people. Plenty of books and resources on how to do that.

Meritocracy as a belief system. Many in the West have adopted this unconsciously, even those impacted in inequity. Of course conformity can serve powerful minorities through mass adoption- meritocracy and the ‘American Dream’ are a few examples. Libertarians are most prone to this kind of conformity-comes with the package of being libertarian.

The belief and subsequent avoidance of death is conformity. All ideas about death and mortality are picked up from social cues-at least in my experience

Not know the why of it all is part of the dream- makes it more fascinating honestly. I get glimpses of why through hindsight -
Of course-business certainly corrupts people. It’s just that most bosses across industry are not conscious enough to prioritize anything above profit maximization- that’s why they became a boss in the first place. Working for these kinds of people places limits on spiritual development-I believe that’s the only point Leo is driving from the post.

I'll take that fallacy any day over something like this:

This was one of the more gut wrenching posts. It hurts because it’s true. We are more susceptible to corruption working for a boss-this isn't taught in school
