  1. @abrakamowse The source they used for that "fact check" is from some single individual with an insecure website. Seems shaky to me. With so many U.S. citizens having doubt about the election I think it would be useful to do a thorough forensic investigation of the election. That way people will feel confidence in the 2020 election and in future elections.

  2. But what about all voting fraud claims? Many of the lawsuits have been dismissed not because of lack of evidence, but because the courts don't even want to touch them and claim lack of standing and dismiss them before even looking at any claims. Is Trump a deep state puppet? Put into office to almost expose the voting fraud and then blow himself up like an ISIS suicide bomber by staging his own jumping the shark event? And thereby preventing any voting fraud from ever being discussed or mentioned again. Looks to me that Trump is actually protecting the Democrats by this reverse psychology stunt of his.

  3. @Leo Gura I'm starting to suspect that Trump is a traitor, not to the nation, but to his followers. Trump and QAnon seem to have spouted "hope porn" as someone called it. I'm not entirely sure yet, but it doesn't look good for Trump. QAnon actually posted something like: Those who you trust most are the biggest traitors. What does that tell us about Q and Q+, yikes.

  4. @DocWatts I don't know if Trump deliberately used the Dog Whistle tactics, but yes, he could have! I was clueless about any insidious meaning in his speech and at the same time Trump must have been aware of the potential danger, so I grant that it was at least suspicious to arrange a march towards the capitol. And experts in law enforcement and in the intelligence community must have been aware of it if Dog Whistle tactics were used!

  5. Heheh. This is going according to my prediction.

"China’s Huawei Technology Co. Ltd. is reportedly trying to give its smartphone ambitions a boost with plans to announce what would be the world’s first three-nanometer chipset. ... @RODENT950 said Huawei’s new chip should launch sometime in 2021 and will likely appear in the Huawei Mate 50 series smartphones that are expected to be launched during the fourth quarter. ... even if HiSilicon does have a three-nanometer processor in the works, it will probably only ever become a reality if Huawei can find a way to get those sanctions lifted." - SiliconANGLE, Jan 3, 2021

The article guesses that Huawei needs to have Trump's sanctions lifted. I think the 3 nm chip will be manufactured in China! If so, then China is already ahead of the rest of the world in terms of semiconductor technology. Western experts believe China is years behind. I don't think so!

I don't want China's Orwellian systems, but it will be great if China takes the lead in tech development to catalyze a global integration between western capitalism, western governments and China's capitalism and government, and also with other countries in the world contributing to the global integration.

The end of capitalism as the dominating force will also depend on central bank digital currencies, and I predict that the IMF will launch a global digital currency to prevent Chinese world dominance with its new digital currency DCEP (e-yuan).

  6. Teal Swan said that we need dependency. I will go one step even further and say that we need 100% dependency! That's the nondual perspective that goes full circle so that 100% dependency also means zero dependency at the same time. Because nondual totality is a wholeness and dependencies are relative separations within the totality.

But that's easier said than done. Nondual oneness is the highest state, even beyond the transpersonal stage even though it can be seen as the highest transpersonal state. Teal Swan is talking about the personal stage and practical advice. I'm aiming directly for the transpersonal stage, which could be the wrong strategy! But I'm even aiming for a collective consciousness, so I feel I need to transcend the personal stage.

  7. @Sempiternity I watched Trump's speech live and I heard him saying that they were going to the capitol, but I did't think of his statement at the time as anything related to riots or anything like that. I thought the demonstration was for showing support. In hindsight I think Trump should have avoided it because he has access to lots of intel and experts who could have warned him. Personally I don't think of his speech as a promotion of violence even though I think Trump should have known better.

  8. @abrakamowse Oh! I like that statement from Biden.

    Quote

"Biden called for “unity” with his “Republican colleagues” and made clear that he is opposed to holding anyone politically accountable."

I think Trump should have known better, with all the intel and experts he has access to, but I agree with Biden that it's better to calm the situation down. Sure, investigate the event but it's unclear to me if Trump deliberately wanted the crowd to storm the capitol.

"Three House Democrats plan to introduce an article of impeachment against President Trump on Monday for incitement of insurrection after Wednesday's riots at the U.S. Capitol, multiple sources familiar with the efforts tell CBS News.

The article of impeachment accuses the president of "willfully inciting violence against the Government of the United States." While Congress was counting the Electoral College votes, the article says that Mr. Trump, addressing supporters nearby, "willfully made statements that encouraged — and foreseeably resulted in — imminent lawless action at the  Capitol."" - CBS News, Jan 9, 2021 https://www.cbsnews.com/news/impeachment-democrats-introduce-articles-trump/

  10. Wow, ordinary mindfulness practice is potentially very effective. Why? Because it involves observing oneself nonjudgmentally. But why? Why the need for being nonjudgmental?

    J. Krishnamurti has the answer. Judgment is always confusion. And as I see it, that feeds the crystallized ego and keeps the confusion going. So observing oneself nonjudgmentally is a meta perspective above the confusion. And mindfulness practice is a method for entering that meta perspective.

Earlier I was confused about why the need for being nonjudgmental when practicing mindfulness.

    Quote

"Knowledge has nothing to do with wisdom. Wisdom comes into being without knowledge, that is, only when the mind has no evaluating factor, when the mind is not the entity that evaluates, that judges, that compares. ...  Surely, it is our values, our judgments that bring confusion, sorrow; and being confused, being in sorrow, we say we must have time to overcome this sorrow. But is that so? Will time resolve our sorrow?" - J. Krishnamurti, Bombay 7th Public Talk 9nd March 1955

Will time resolve the confusion? Maybe not, but I will try more mindfulness practice. Maybe it's a skill that can be learned! And then it will take some time to practice and learn the skill, which in this case is to establish a meta perspective free from confusion.

  11. Fear and desire are necessary at the personal stage of development. From the transpersonal perspective both fear and desire are transcended. Fear is a false foundation since it's based on the belief in separation. And desire is problematic because personal stage desire has too little requisite variety in order to harmoniously deal with reality, and that causes suffering and conflict.

The crystallized ego operates through collected understanding, which as J. Krishnamurti said is always limited and therefore leads to conflict and confusion. And as it says in the Bible:

    Quote

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

No. Impeachment occurs in the House and only requires a simple majority. If articles of impeachment pass, a trial occurs in the senate and conviction requires a 2/3 majority. If convicted, the president is removed from office.

House Democrats could impeach Trump again somewhat easily, yet there is very little chance of the senate convicting him. To get 17 Senators to convict, Trump would need to do something that is outrageous even for him. Something like Trump leading the mob carrying an AK47 and shooting a senator and a police officer. And it would need to be unambiguously on video. That's how complicit republicans are at this time.

Okay, my mistake. So impeachment can take effect immediately and the supermajority is for the conviction in the Senate. I think Trump is correct about massive voting fraud! But it could be false evidence presented by compromised experts and authorities.

  13. CNN wrote that 48 Democrats and 1 Republican in the House support impeachment. And 12 Democrats in the Senate.

    Quote

"(CNN) Dozens of lawmakers are calling for President Donald Trump to be removed from office either through impeachment or the 25th Amendment to the Constitution after his violent supporters breached the Capitol on Wednesday." - CNN.com, Jan 7, 2021

But it requires a supermajority for impeachment.

    Quote

"The Constitution requires a two-thirds supermajority to convict a person being impeached." - Wikipedia

Regarding the 25th Amendment I found this:

    Quote

"Section 4 of the Twenty-fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution gives Congress a role to play in the event of a presidential disability. If the vice president and a majority of the president's cabinet declare that the president is unable to serve in that role, the vice president becomes acting president. Within 21 days of such a declaration (or, if Congress is in recess when a president is disabled, 21 days after Congress reconvenes), Congress must vote by two-thirds supermajorities to continue the disability declaration; otherwise, such declaration expires after the 21 days and the president would at that time "resume" discharging all the powers and duties of the office. (Section 4 has been invoked – the president himself declaring an inability – only three times.)" - Wikipedia
