It's probably his bias that he's able to tolerate and be attracted to their views.

How can I persuade him to do psychedelics with me?
Big mistake trying to persuade him. If he doesn't want to, he doesn't want to. You have to willingly want to take psychedelics for personal development, getting manipulated into the decision, forced into it, can result in a very high chance of a bad trip, and your brother will forever blame you for putting him in such a psychotic state of being. It's not worth trying to get people and force them to do it.

I think that it's more important for him to protect his picture.
If he talked to him haters would 100% accuse him of platforming a nazi sympathizing pedophile even if he did everything perfect in the talk.
But I would love to know how would he handle mrgirls projections.
He was a student of yoga, so why the need to protect his image? Out of fear? I don't care about if the debate between them happens, I'm more interested in their discussion, but if Dr. K keeps avoiding Mr. Girl's open invitation to a discussion, repeatedly, it would look bad but in a different way.
I think he could handle his projections, and no doubt if this turned into a debate, Dr. K could handle himself that way, which might turn into like the Vaush and Mr. Girl debate.
I think such a discussion between them would turn out quite deep.

It’s assuming you have everything figured out. This prevents openness.
Just a consideration.
Boredom is like laziness, depression, humiliation and lose of hope, this are emotions from within apathy. Arrogance, on the other hand, has much more in common with rage, annoyance, disgust and boasting, which is found in anger. Emotions related to apathy have this feeling of numbness and slowness to the emotions, while emotions of anger differ in lack of numbness, and being fast and feeling hot and tension. Thoughts that stem from boredom, and thoughts from arrogance are also different, as boredom puts one in a state of sluggishness, with thoughts that are not too empowering to the self and part of it's world, meanwhile arrogant thoughts empowers the one thinking like that, creating a sense of grandiose and self entitlement that can pull such a person out of a state of boredom.

I don't even think that I can realistically create a business that would substantially improve our world because I am not as intellectually gifted as someone like Elon Musk is.
I also wasn't born a child prodigy or a born a natural genius in anything like Einstein was.
Furthermore, it's extreme unlikely that was not born with the potential to become incredibly charismatic like Obama was.
Even becoming an influential world wide celebrity of some kind would be a 1 in a million chance of that ever happening to me.
Yes, celebrities and legends like Musk, Einstein, Obama, and what have you work extremely hard throughout their entire lives to get to accomplish what they achieved. No doubt about that. However, they also were all genetically gifted in their own unique ways. No amount of hard work can ever change that.
That's why a lot of times, I am like what's the point of even trying to change the world for the better when that's probably an absurd laughable fantasy for someone like me?
Asymmetrical warfare, that's how you can contribute to the world and be a creator. Don't play fair with well established success giants. It doesn't have to be in anything in the political field, it can be outside of it in some other field.
The key here, is being a creator and contributing to the world IN YOUR OWN WAY. Don't copy exactly what Elon Musk or Obama or whatever successful person did exactly, because that market is likely too saturated and competitive to be taken advantage of, and it won't work exactly as it did for it's time. Instead, you contribute through your life purpose, through understanding broadly and holistically, then niching down to a specific field that matches with your general purpose, specialized purpose, your field of mastery/skill development, your values, your strengths, your uniqueness. From that you provide immense value that is extremely difficult to copy. Of course, study what worked for them, but take those, and ask yourself, what would it look like if I combined this with that, while letting yourself be creative? Synthesizing ideas can create more value.

So, if one is sex deprived like never had sex before, and keeps thinking about sex, Like 99% of the time, does that affects their productivity and creativity in real life? If yes, how so?
Thx
It would depend on that person's view of sex and sexuality, and at what stage values, cognition, moral frame work, personality type, state of consciousness and life experiences in specific (sexuality, intimate relationships, dating ect.) to other lines of development in one's life, which is also filtered through one's upbringing, culture, and repressed aspects of parts of one's psyche.
Also, it depends on the body, and more importantly, what mind a person has. You can have a mind that's attention deficit disorder like, where focus is more scattered and wonders to a lot of topics and places, and have an episodic type of self image, with no consistent self image. Or you can have a mind which identifies strongly as one consistent entity.

I think our response to Covid so far has been more or less justified, however, everyone's gonna get the Covid eventually, so the current situation shouldn't be too prolonged; the damages to the economy are very real, many businesses have crumbled during the last 2 years. Culture also suffers.
On 1/21/2022 at 1:29 PM, w4read said:Here's an interesting math experience for you:
Let's say the government is unsure if they want to prolong a lockdown. And let's say that they do it for a week only in order to reduce the damage and open up as soon as they consider it beneficial. So let's use the US as an example:
With a population of 330.000.000 you are essentially taking 330.000.000/52= 6.346.153, which is 6,3 million years of quality life from people. So assuming the average person has 40 years left to live or so, this would be 158.653 lives.
But hey, it's not like their taking away our lives, their just reducing our quality of life a bit. Let's say that the avarage persons life quality is cut in half, by 50%. So then it would be 158.653*50%= 79.326 lives. That is the collective damage just in quality of life not even talking about all the economic and social ramifications outside of that.
A simple, but illustrating example which also underlines why individual freedom is important, and how we can end up undervaluing it. I mean what does one week matter for each and one of us individually? I mean, you would be selfish if you couldn't handle ONE more week?
These sound about right to me. I don't know how long the world would last if governments don't consider modifying lock down policies to lesser forms. The economy is gonna take a huge hit if we keep the same, hard lock down policies.

I predict Dr. k will avoid having a conversation with Mr. girl for a while, but eventually he will talk to him. I think while in the conversation, Dr. K will have a more defensive tone, not just because the guest in question is already has developed a reputation for being a bit suspect due to his misunderstood views on pedophilia, racism, and violence, but Mr. girl is gonna remind him of Reckful, which is likely to get Dr. K a bit defensive because it is likely a sensitive event for him. Now, to me, if Dr. K is a person of high integrity, he should accept the discussion, and manage himself with Mr. girl and show he can handle himself, because the less integrous thing to do, is to not do it because of fear and insecurity.
-
4 minutes ago, Opo said:Why would Dr. K take this risk?
It's not like he should, but if he keeps avoiding talking to Mr. girl, it would also look suspicious on his side, despite interacting with Mr. girl, already a suspicious person as well from his way of speaking and being too honest and non partisan.
-
Just like the Vaush and Mr. girl discussion, the discussion between Mr. girl and dr. K might expose to us more of what Dr. K is really about, and wether or not he is trustworthy. Like Mr. girl, is the ultimate litmus test to a person's integrity whoever he talks to.

Is anyone here a straight A student before? I don't relate, so if someone here was a straight A student, could you please explain to me what that's like in your day to day, when grades were really important?

I think it might be interesting. Mr. girl said he's willing to not only talk, but press Dr. k on some of his takes. To me, both are similar in how they talk and think, but to me Mr. girl's upfront honesty an non-partisan way of communication would bring up a very interesting discussion.

Man, sometimes I feel like we must be as closely ruthless as the billionaires to tax them properly, and to not get too attached to paper money when trillionaires, billionaires, maybe millionaires wave you paper money to try to coerce and persuade to not get heavily taxed, in their view.

Another very interesting video, part debate part discussion.
Might get interesting when Mr. girl gets to talk to Dr. K.

But ever since i have started reading fiction I have wandered if this is just me trying to escape improving myself or if reading fiction books is actually a great way for me to become better as a author?
Is fiction books bad or does it depend on how you read them?
Would love to have some more perspectives on this issue instead of only my own, thanks for posting (if you do).
Ah, another classic duality. Which came first: the creator, or the consumer? The value giver, or the value receiver?
What fiction books are you reading at the moment? Which genre pulls you in strongly? How does your mind represent the immersion? How does the book effect your thinking, and emotional state?
What stories do you write? Do you prefer pencil to paper, pen to paper, or typing using the computer? Have you also started stories (manuscripts, fanfiction ect.), but you tend to not complete them often?
I don't find fiction books a waste of time, in fact I used to read them, and immerse myself deeply into the world and characters that sometimes I can roleplay as one, and feel what they're going through, and see from other perspectives. Usually from this state I sometimes have no choice but to write a story onto paper, otherwise my mind keeps spinning new ideas of how to mix this story with that story. It was a past hobby, and I sometimes took it serious that I would do research, look though many writer blogs, and learn hundreds of writing techniques, hundreds of ways to outline a story, plot and characters, that I ended up creating a very complex and detailed scripting/outline sheet that accounts for 95 % of the story, all key situations and character developments.

So, if we have a waves in the ocean, if I point to it and call it THE ENTIRE F**** OCEAN, would it be a good analogy? So basically, we are waves but also an entire ocean, is that right?
Or maybe, what LEO means, is that you are GOD in solipsism way, that you are the only one that have experience right now?No, he literally mean YOU ARE GOD, but you magically forgot and bound yourself here as a human being, in a human story, in a finite world.
On top of that, there's also infinity, or infinite intelligence/the GOD HEAD, operating behind the scenes if you will, which creates this author and co-author relationship between it and you, keeping reality as limited yet as fair as possible, while keeping the infinite imagination powers at check such that you don't screw billons of people in a blink of an eye, but too limiting either. That's how I intuit those two aspects to me.
Anyways, another thread bites the dust.

But the New Testament is all about the miracles, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which the Quran completely rejects, so it would make sense there's more overlap between the Quran and the OT.
But don't get me wrong, the times of Moses, Jesus and Muhammed were all violent times and Islam apologists may argue that Jesus' message lacks pragmatism and realism - and is too idealistic - in a harsh world. Thus the Quran injects that pragmatism through draconian laws.
Sounds about right. The quran is roughly one step forward to idealistic, but one step back to realism of it's time, because of it coming from a predominant stage purple/red culture and world, the spirituality it preaches has to be corrupted and coopted by the culture of it's time. It cannot go full on spirituality, without risking a huge backlash.

Although he frames his exit as a valorous attempt to protect his graduate students, I think the real reason is he's making a lot of money from YouTube and lecturing/book writing and this stunt will give him the aura of a martyr for the cause among his groupies. It's really sad academia has failed to produce any public yellow intellectual who can take on Jordan Peterson.
At least he's exiting now then later or never exiting university.

If your life purpose was becoming an artist, or a comic book writer/artist, is it the wrong timing?
Any experienced in this field, how do I penetrate into the market of comics? In one market dealing with western comics, I heard it's now over politicalized and lost what really made western comics really good, so I don't see how I could get in and work traditionally in there. On the other side, dealing with manga/anime and the eastern manga industry, I heard it's getting more and more popular, but the barrier of entry is much more difficult, the competitive field higher.
