This is somewhat true, as in that when you compare your current stage to some kind of concept in your mind about "other" stages, then you're just distracting yourself from what is appearing right now, which is truth. However, focusing on where you are right now, is the MOST IMPORTANT part in deepening realization, because there is nothing other than the now. The deepening is unfolding right now, right here. Inquire into that deepening. Inquire into that which gives rise to the appearance of a deepening. That which is now and nowhere else, because there is nowhere else other than now. Realize that there is an infinite depth to it, yet no depth at all, because there only is one eternal light, which is shining bright out of passion and love.

Acknowledge where you appear to be right now, and go from there.
