Is doing cold approach in a big city in the US safe?

11 posts in this topic

Since 2020, the US has had a record number of mass shootings per year, especially in urban areas of the country. Plus, there's a lot more gang violence in cities than in suburban or rural areas of the country.

I remember seeing the Las Vegas Strip mass shooting on the news in 2017. It's made me very hesitant to ever try cold approaching in a big city such as Vegas, LA, New York, Chicago, Austin, Houston, or Phoenix.

Are cities no longer safe places for even meeting any new kinds of people?

Yes it is extremely safe. The chances of you being involved in a mass shooting while gaming is virtually zero

So, then what the hell happened with the one in Las Vegas?

I have never heard of a PUA getting shot. So yes, it's very safe.

You could get shot just walking through a Walmart. So this has nothing to do with pickup.

All Vegas clubs have metal detectors and very good security. Vegas hotels have some of the best security in the world.

Stephen Paddock killed himself after, so you don't have to worry about him coming back to shoot up Vegas again xD

One off event that occured 6 years ago? If you were living in Vegas for a decade which equals 3650 days, youre chances of being in a mass shooting was 1 in 3650 = 0.02% or virtually zero. Also youd have to be in the worst place at the worst time so realistically its 1000x less probable than that. If being killed while gaming was a serious issue most pickup coaches who go out 250+ nights a year would be dead

These are all valid points, but is there possiblt some way that we could protect ourselves better from these very random shootings which have been occurring at such an unusually high rate since 2020?

It’s depressing you’re this deep into the fear narrative. With this mentality you might as well be one of those guys who has a robot girlfriend and never leaves his apartment

You're actually safer in the hood these days, unless you get shot by a stray bullet. They're shooting at each other. Its the other cities where they're targeting random people outta nowhere where you gotta watch out for. Ever heard of a mass shooting in the hood?
