How would you rebut the claim that psychedelic users have Peter Pan syndrome?

11 posts in this topic

This is a common claim among naysayers regarding the spiritual and psychedelic communities. How would you rebut or dismiss such a claim?

For the record, I'm not a believer of this claim. I'm the exact opposite. I'm just looking for a discussion on the matter.

It might be true for 90% of people but not necessary to you or me so i do not care about those claims.

What psycodelics/meditation do is raise the baseline level of conciousness, you can use that power to cope in green stage forever, or to face your fears, remove bias and actualized your life in the best way possible

I'd ask them why they think that. And then ask the same of their justifications. I find people's arguments tend to quickly unravel after that, or they tell you stop asking questions lol.

Look at whether they're high-functioning and responsible individuals.

Ask them why they would like to project their fantasies on somebody else ?

psychedelic users typically use them to come face to face with reality, not to escape from it. is this immaturity? rather the opposite

I'd love if you could elaborate on what you mean by "coping in stage green" and what you would regard as transcending such. Are you referring to the utopian idealism of stage green?

This...

I mean honestly, I am sure many people in the psychedelic space aren't

 But, many are.
