My job offer success record

9 posts in this topic

Over the past month, I've applied to about 20-30 different kinds of jobs and I only got two job offers. I got one job as a temporary painter at a University for $33.72/hr. which I've already been doing for 3 weekdays now and I got another job offer at a hotel with a rating of about 4.5 stars as a seasonal daily recreation attendant for $14.5/hr.

Is that a not bad success rate for jobs offer or is that a poor success rate?

Depends very much on the field, local economy and your resume.

Depends on if you want to save money and then start a business or invest it or both e.g. . You could also start a painter business etc. . I don't think you can say that in a generalized manner.

You can derive it from simple logic

Left means not right

A 6 - 10% job offer rate is extremely high. Most people don't even get called for an interview at anywhere near that rate. Maybe 1 in 50 or even 1 in 100 get to just the interview stage, depending on the field. If you look around online you'll see people complaining they sent out hundreds of resumes with 0 response back all the time.

Also where the hell can painters make the equivalent of a $67,000/year salary? That's crazy for relatively mindless labor. In contrast, I know CPAs (professional accountants, basically the accounting world equivalent of a lawyer or doctor) who only make $70k/year. Take that shit. Even if it's only a temporary job for like 4 months, you'll make $21k in 4 months. Then for the other 8 months you can look for another job or do whatever. Plus you can listen to podcasts and stuff while you paint.

A lot of places. There is a ton money in real estate. Houses are expensive for a reason > because of what is being put into it.

You can make a lot of money doing blue-collar work if that’s your thing. But don't forget to factor in benefits such as insurance. The CPA in your example could be making $100k when factoring in all employment benefits. Of course, blue-collar jobs can provide benefits also. A lot of technicians in the aerospace industry make six-figure salaries plus benefits because their skill set is in high demand.

Yes, I am also looking at executive positions in sales. I am a very responsible employee and I know how to work in a team. My experience as a restaurant manager was short, but successful. The situation with quarantine changed everything not in my favor, and now, although I have mastered the online profession of an SMM specialist, the desire to lead prevails. I made a good resume thanks to the example from https://resumeedge.com/samples/executive-resume-sample I think it should attract employers. I'm looking forward to good job offers. I've even prepared a formal interview outfit and a confident attitude.

Good Luck. I hope it goes well!
