Does NoFap really work?!

78 posts in this topic

I'd say  just read Multi-Orgasmic Man, the practices and the theory are changing my life and how I view sexuality completely, certainly a Turquoise book from the Taoist master Mantak Chia.

I'd also recommend Sex God Method by Daniel Rose, not quite so Turquoise but essential reading for anyone wanting to have the best sex possible (that's what we all want?)

I defo agree about quitting Porn though, although 'Self-Pleasuring' as Mantak calls it can happen, it's just very different from a quick bust hunched over your laptop screen, and actually involves massaging, slow cultivation of the energy, fantasy / imagination, it will also help you solve any ED & PE problems you have.

The book should be essential reading for 16 year old boys when they leave school lmao.

You can also do Semen Retention & have sex & 'fap', you can Orgasm without Ejaculation, and not get the crash of an ejaculation.

I think it only works if you combine it with other lifestyle choices. Regular exercise, quitting porn completely, yoga, cold showers, etc and the most important of all: practise pickup if that's your goal is with nofap.

Regular fapping is basically an instant hit and can quickly drain your motivation to take the necessary actions. Quitting it may propel you to do so.

I've been practising nofap lately (along with the above mentioned things) and seen some great benefits so far.

@nistake Fapping drains you because of the combined excess dopamine + ejaculation.

Have morning sex and ejaculate and you will still feel a form of energy drain, not as much as porn though.

Try 'Fapping' without ejaculation, by using the methods I mentioned in the book above, and you can actually self-pleasure / Have sex with EVEN MORE pleasure, deepening levels of love & connection and actually end up with MORE energy, it's nuts.

But, yes of course all the other lifestyle choices should be used in combination with quitting porn, in fact I'd say that's even more important imo.

I've practiced "NoFap" for over 3 years now too, it has been a wild ride. The subreddit was pretty much my introduction to self-improvement back in the day, it is also where I discovered actualized.org as someone recommended it there.

At one point in my life I became convinced that the "benefits" were almost definitely just a very strong belief that I was holding and were made stronger by confirmation bias, which is probably partly true, but even still I find it impossible to deny the power of holding your seed. The most important lesson I learned is stop labeling orgasms as "relapses" and "failures". This sort of repressive approach is destructive in my opinion. Most humans go about their life fapping whenever they feel like it and they don't suffer from it the same way you will if you keep thinking you are failing over and over again by jerking off and guilting yourself for it. Learn to love yourself, not just during your best streaks but also during your low points of frequent masturbation.

If you haven't watched Leo's video called Awareness Alone Is Curative, I highly recommend you do, and try to apply that approach to NoFap. For me personally the best approach has been to try to limit my ejaculations to once a week or once every two weeks. That wouldn't be possible if you are being harsh on yourself and judging yourself every time you orgasm. Observe, don't judge.

Also fuck doing nofap for women. Go practice pickup if that is what you want out of life. You can use this technique for meditation and exercise gains and feel super good in your body. Relationships are secondary IMO.

@amps  marvelous, your conserving lots of energy. Why not circulate the energy in the body and refine it too feel energized and peacefull? Then in time you can control your horniness and make lovemaking a whole different and much more rewarding experience.

@EnergyArtist  To be honest I was always super sceptical about that stuff. To get something for nothing, to orgasm without loss of energy, seems like a fallacy at first glance. :D I assume that is what you are referring to? I have no direct experience with such practices though and haven't really done any research about them either. Maybe you have some resources you could point me toward?

Obviously It works, Who said it to you that It doesn't work? When you're following Nofap, you're saving your energy flowing from your body to the outside. But when you're saving it and not wasting it then that energy will help cure several areas of your body and makes yourself more powerful. You should try it, It works.

@LfcCharlie4 Yes its a nice discovery to make!

Could it be that you are already non-dual developed that you are quicker sensitized to energy? Something I was pondering about.

Martin Ball says 5-meo-dmt opens up so much powerful energy you quickly get non dual temporary. And after that energy practices become easier.

If we can find a reliable more easy path to non duality , this will be a gamechanger.

Ok I've been trying NoFap/semen retention for almost 3 years now with varous streaks that lasted a couple of months (my highest streak was 7 months, I'm curently 5 months in) and I don't have that "magical women attraction" and all the other benefits that all these No-fappers seem to experience.I actually DID notice some of these benefits every now and then but NOT in a significant amount.Like yeah I do feel more energized and shit since I don't drain my semen everyday, I do have a sharper mind and I do feel more masculine and less socially awkward but I didn't become a "God/Super-human" that all women swoon over like they all say."NoFap changed my life forever! I'm a TOTALLY new person! NoFap women attraction is real" bla bla bla.The only thing I can say it REALLY did for me was curing my ED and make real sex more pleasurable. And that's amazing I'm not putting that down. But I did all this work to become a Titan and get pussies, ain't gonna lie.Abstaining from porn was the MOST challenging shit I've EVER done in my life and I feel like all this pain was for nothing.I'm very dissapointed and frustraded with the poor results.Should I go back to porn? I'm really hesitating.

You will find that the benfits from semen retention arnt so obvious or noticable but over time they build up, it's like when your young and you start to grow it happens so slow you hardly notice but after 5 years you check you hight and you've grown a few inches. Dont ever go back to porn its will slowly over time fuck you over. Keep going. Also you cant just do semen retention I expect yourself to be  pussy magnet you gota put the work in career, health and self development.

Potentially, I think 90% of guys will be like that so bollocks and just not do it lmao, which is a shame, I can't imagine going back, he recommends for 20-30-year-olds ejaculation once every 4 days if you wish too. Mantak is from Taoism which of course teaches a lot about Non-Duality from an ancient Taoist perspective.

Given enough time, Your life will improve first before any social benefits might occur. Nofap gives that extra energy and focus for other areas of life besides dating, Unless other parts of your life are balanced out, dating becomes a bit easier.
