100% agree with you on this. I was talking to her about thought, I told her I'm starting to see deeper and more holistically the nature of thought and she quickly changed the subject. She asked me "why do you feel your progressing so quickly Charlotte?" And I said "because I'm starting to see thought for what it truly is, or is not" and then she changed the subject ?. I see therapists have a script to read from (so to speak), so your ABSOLUTELY right in what you say, my limiting beliefs held me back there. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

A very demotivating thing is when you type OCD into google, it says it bold letters on the sidebar "can't be cured" 

Jesus christ, before Personal development, I thought I was fucked. That line messed me up. I've made massive progress since then, and am aiming to make massive more progress.

"impossible is something you have to prove. how did you come to that conclusion that it's impossible?"

 

my OCD specialist once told me not to exercise, it wouldn't help

my university psychologist tried to get me to take medicine for schizophrenia (i don't have that). when i looked up the medicine, recent research showed that it no longer showed benefit for OCD. thank god i didnt take it

another university psychologist had no idea what OCD was 

i went to a therapist that gave me wrong advice for dealing with my fears. she said i was doing it wrong. but really her knowledge was incomplete. didnt know that at the time

 

finally, i went to an online life coach, who didn't have ANY MEDICAL CERTIFICATION (she had life coaching certification) 

and she taught me so much about life and breaking through my barriers, i am forever grateful for her. worth more than my other 4 psychologists combined times 10. that's when i learnt to take matters into my own hands L o L

not relevant, just wanted to share

I do have to disagree with this. I used to have OCD about if I was Gay or not, and the fears associated with it is 1% of what it once was, it's barely noticeable.

i believe that thought process is what the medical establishment teaches us, because i used to believe that as well

Ive had this in the past and it still gets me on and off, sometimes i fully understand that i have to let it be and it subsides but sometimes it freaks me out. But i think thats what Charlotte is saying that theres normal anxiety that everyone gets and its about accepting that as well, so anxiety in itself cant be cured as its a human reaction but it can be lessened and reacted to differently to get to 'normal' levels

@Charlotte  Do you feel that microdosing has given you benefits even after periods of not microdosing? i.e has it changed you for the better 'permanently'?

 

Do you still microdose now?

Great! Just be careful to not to come point of addiction (or needing them) in order to overcome from your issues.

Not true, i know dozens of people who are heavily addicted to psychedelic, specially shrooms, cant function without microdosing. If they dont take it, depression during the day.

IDK James... I have done psychedelics, shrooms included. IME it is not possible to get hooked on them because of the built tolerance.

Me too brother. I wasn’t addicted either. It worked perfectly for me. But some of my friends were in trouble. Thats why i am saying. I believe, psychedelic works differently for every person. Therefore, it is better to be cautious.

I tried microdosing 5 MeO DMT to do the same thing and I caused stress and panic. My guess is that my suppressed trauma energy is just too much.
