Discipline is THE WAY

18 posts in this topic

Hello everybody! I had an awakening yesterday, and i made myself a very strict routine schedule so that i don't fall into cycles, and i train myself to be disciplined.

I felt like sharing to you. Let me know your thoughts, and what is your schedule like. Have you ever tried doing something like this? What's your experience? I'm very curious.

NO ONE IS STUPIDER OR SMARTER THAN ANYONE ELSE.
ALL FORMS OF CONSCIOUSNESS ARE EQUALLY INTELLIGENT.
WE ARE ALL ONE.
EVERYTHING IS ONE.

THIS IS THE ROUTINE I MUST FOLLOW SCRUPULOUSLY. NO DEVIATIONS, NO EXCUSES:

Wake-up time: always at the same hour. Establish sleep cycles of 8–9 hours, consistently within the same time frame: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM or 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Set reminders for meal times:
Breakfast (coffee/tea no food. Keep fasting) within the first hour of waking up ( 7:00–8:00 AM or 8:00–9:00 AM).
Lunch: 12:00–1:00 PM (you may have an herbal tea or coffee after lunch/dinner).
Coffee/tea time: 3:30–4:30 PM.
Dinner: 5:00–6:00 PM.
Evening herbal tea: 8:00–9:00 PM.
ANYTHING CONSUMED OUTSIDE OF THESE MEAL TIMES IS POISONOUS (PLAIN WATER EXCLUDED).

Prasadam: (go read about bhakti yoga practices, what they do with food is very intresting. it'a a very conscious way of consuming food)
Offer the food you cook to God; do not taste it while cooking before the offering has been made.
Any food that is not offered to God is poisonous. (the sense of the offering should be something like: "may this food feed my soul and not only my body. May god inside me taste and feel the pleasure of the food, not the ego."

Set a reminder for your vitamins: K, D, C, B12, and Aloe.

Do not be sad, do not feel unwell, and do not cultivate negative thoughts—let them go.
You are in good health; be grateful for your health, and keep quiet. You have food and water: be grateful for what you have, and stay quiet.
If you lack health, food, or water, you will likely die soon—so contemplate your own death, and stay quiet. The most beautiful moment of your entire life is approaching. Have faith. And find peace.

There is no need to share anything with anyone. You are fine as you are.

Do not use social media or music to fill your inner voids. If necessary, get rid of social media altogether.

Clean your room twice a day: once upon waking and once before going to sleep.
Take care of your body: wash your face every morning, take a cold shower in the morning, and a warm one in the evening if needed.

TIMETABLE:
7:00 AM – Wake up: sit cross-legged on your bed and meditate until you are fully awake and clear-headed enough to get up and engage in your upcoming activities without feeling groggy.
7:15 AM – Take vitamins C, D, and B12 (or aloe, if needed), feed the cat, wash its bowls, and clean the litter boxes.
7:20 AM – Light a candle and prepare a moka pot of coffee or some tea.
After breakfast, remain in meditation (you may gaze at the candle if you wish).
7:40 AM – Wash your face and brush your teeth; do some stretching, planks, and abdominal exercises; and/or take a cold shower.
8:00 AM – 11:00 AM – You may turn on your phone and respond to messages.
If it is a workday, go to work.
If it is not a workday, alternate between exercise and study.
If you choose exercise, go for a run, ride your bike, or engage in some form of outdoor physical activity.
If you choose to study, sit at your desk and select a topic for the day: write it down on a sheet of paper and conduct some research. Research it, read about it, and summarize your findings on paper, an iPad, or a computer. 11:00 Prepare lunch and offer it to God. (Wait until 12:00 to eat, of course.)
Before lunch, if you have some extra time, you can listen to two musical tracks or do some journaling.
Feed the cat.
12:00–13:00: Lunch, followed by coffee or tea.
13:00–14:00: Clean the house, brush your teeth, and take a shower. If you’ve finished cleaning and still have time, you can journal or read a book.
14:00–15:00: If you need to go grocery shopping or if anything is missing at home, this is the time to head out.
15:00: Take your bike and go out—bring a thermos of tea and a packed dinner in case you’re out late—or stay home and do some stretching, abdominal exercises, and planks.
15:30–16:30: Tea time.
16:30: Prepare dinner.
17:00–18:00: Dinner. Also, feed the cat.
18:00–18:30: Meditation—do nothing. If you like, you can light a candle and watch the flame. Brush your teeth after meditating (you can even use coconut oil).
18:30–20:00: Free time. Sit down with a blank canvas and some paints or colors in front of you. You can listen to two musical tracks, watch the candle flame, journal, or continue your studies. You could also sew, declutter, or play a musical instrument—or create music on your computer. (You may draw on your computer/iPad, but without looking at Pinterest or other inspiration sites—you may only use such sites if you are in a state of artistic flow and require a specific point of reference.)
20:00–21:00: Tea time. VITAMIN K. Meditate while gazing at a candle during the time that remains.
21:00–22:00/23:00: Continue your free time. Place some water by your bedside.
Darkness.

This is the only solution to your problems. Without discipline, a man is a living dead body.

@Asia P I haven't read it entirely. However i definitely disagree. I am way happier when i live spontaneously without much enforced robotic discipline that is mechanical.

Think of it this way: in the end, you want to enjoy life, not living like a hyper disciplined robot. After all your disciplinary efforts you'll be there enjoying life. Well why not start from now ? That's the key. At least that's how i experience it.

Id agree with this, humans are not robots, if you live overly disciplined you sacrifice parts of yourself that’ll come back to bite you in the ass later. The idea of living super disciplined is appealing because we connect it in our minds to getting to where we want to be in life. But the reality is different

Dicipline? Boo 👎

Shame on you.

To truly love something is to grant that thing freedom. It is to hold it in an open, outstretched palm of your hand without clenching over it.

Very good point. Modern women forget that they are controlled by Luna (the moon) and want to be men.

Maybe she identifies as a man?

Identity doesn't change that the body is controlled by the 28-day moon cycle and no degree of mental delusion is going to change that. Unless you physically remove the eggs of the women, cut the seed tube, remove the ovaries, remove the breasts, remove every genetic trace of this being a woman. Then maybe you will have a man, or a spiritually dead woman. But you would also have to edit the DNA directly and reprogam the entire hormonal system, which you can do, just not in this 3D world (e.g. read reality).

@Psychonaut Careful not to straw man transidentity. No one is arguing that there are biological factors to what we call men and women. We are arguing that the categorization of these two groups as distinct is fluid and malleable.

We are not denying the variation in characteristics of men and women. We're saying something more subtle: that just because there is a difference in characteristics between two groups doesn't mean the existence of the groups are ontologically fixed instead of constructed.

Discipline is a crucial trait to develop in order to establish yourself and achieve important goals. In this era where it's very hard to stay focused it's even more important. Staying discipline to work towards your goals and live in alignment with your standards and values is joyful.
@Asia P Most probably you're going to fail at this routine. because it's hard to will your way out of bad habits. You should build small habits first and work your way up. Like doing 5 pushups right after waking up and once you've enough good habits and self-efficasy things start to click. I wish somebody had told me that I do not need to be so focused on crafting perfect routines and goals and micro managing my time. but rather build habits. And small habits. Just try building habits. read books aboout it. That'lll be very helpful. Peace!

How can one achieve anything significant in life without discipline (working consistently)?

@Sandhu I didn't say to not work. I said her approach is robotic and mechanical, and she's most likely not going to stick to it for a long time. Like cmon micro managing every minute of your day for maximum productivity is foolish. That should be obvious. Of course you should still work, because otherwise you can't live in most cases, you need somehow to handle your life, to survive. But beyond that it isn't necessary to overwork or become a workaholic. You can have goals and still be productive. And aim at different things at different times in your life. Like instead of doing spirituality and business and fixing your dating life and working on your passion and reading books to educate yourself, and losing weight or developing muscles... All at once. You can focus on one area of your life at once, once that is handled you move on to another one, etc... life should be an exploration not a grind.

Extraordinary pursuits do require grinding. Many times you have to grind. For example somedays you don't feel like going to the gym. But you should go anyways. You might think I'm stuck at stage orange mindset but you require the workaholic mindset to make big at life. You can choose to stay mediocre and live in spiritual fantasy land. But If you lack serious work ethic and discipline you won't get far in spirituality domain either as it requires meticulous epistemology to not get lost. You think you can be happy doing nothing. What a fantasy!!!. Building house in the clouds.
