Discipline is evil

But not devotion to something! That’s wrong.

Only devotion to Lofe itself, that’s synonymous with FREEDOM!

Amen

To truly love something is to grant that thing freedom. It is to hold it in an open, outstretched palm of your hand without clenching over it.

FREEDOM is the highest form of discipline. But not what humans call discipline.

Trying to be good is evil, because it imposes ones own will onto others or alternatively another one's will onto oneself. Both suppresses Truth & Beauty, which is evil.

Only Free Will leads to Truth & Beauty in the end.

I'm talking about FREEDOM as an absolute, not bound by time, materialism or mislead by hope. Hopelessness is the gate to FREEDOM.

That FREEDOM is LOVE and leads to BEAUTY, which is TRUTH.

The problem with having Truth as the highest value is, that everyone thinks they know the truth, when in fact NOBODY EVER knows the truth because it doesn't exist! Only when we create it it will, but that doesn't come from defining Truth, but by creating BEAUTY.

BEAUTY = TRUTH

@vibv Take a shit and give it a good whiff hehehe

Smell a rose

Smell a freshly baked cookie

Feel a cold breeze after a hot day

Feeel a cold breeze that chills the bones

Feel a balanced nervous system after a Qigong practice.

The most spiritually evolved people are very discipline.

I met such people, people who were monks since they were teens.

I think OP is hating not on the idea of doing something systemically to survive and prosper, but on the idea of being pushed by society into doing something meaningless and boring for the sake of it.

I don't like the word discipline either. I think it needs to be reframed or replaced to something that sounds less like a choke on your throat and more like a strategic choice with a vision.

And as long as the word carries those negative connotations for you, everyone who uses it will sound like they want you to become miserable forever. That's what I see happening in this thread

If it's not Joyful, it is out of Love. And finally out of complete Freedom, which is another word for Truth, Love & Beauty.

Everything else is an illusion that has us trapped here. You will understand very soon.

I'm working.

This seems a bit like the Sedona method

Anyone who’s ever achieved anything worthwhile in their life understands the value of discipline. Stop kidding yourself .

“God is the Alpha Omega .. the beginning-less  beginning and the endless end .
He is the first without start . He is the last without end . He is the manifest actuality ..nothing covers him . He is the most hidden essence  ..nothing can grasp him .. nothing below him or more subtle than him .The ego is the belief I’m separate from god . Because being god is too good to be true .No matter how dark it gets or difficult it gets ..no matter how long it is going to take .. my destiny is the infinite happiness and infinite joy and love as the best thing ever ..God .  “

-that’s a me .

I think your argument says more about the value system you are attributing to discipline, than anything inherently evil about discipline itself.

Why should the impulse that requires the least resistance be considered more authentically you than the value you deliberately choose to live by?

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

If it's not enjoyable it's not even worth doing.

Sometimes survival requires you to do things you don't enjoy

I agree with you on a theoretical level but this isn't how the world works.  If we didn't have discipline it's like not having fear.  We would have nothing

Yes, I agree. You not liking or enjoying something doesn’t make it evil.

I think he is not saying it's literally evil but he is poking his finger at today's culture and what we think is "good or bad"  like..you should go to college.  You're bad if you don't. You shouldn't drink alcohol

 You shouldn't have two wives

And you sure as hell shouldn't abandon Christ

 And you shouldn't be impulsive
