Zelensky on coke

It's funny because if you're responsible for milions of people's lives, at least be sober.

For the sake of argument: why assume that sobriety is the optimal state for him to fulfill his very stressful duties as a wartime leader? If coke helped him fulfill his duties better, wouldn’t it be entirely appropriate for him to do it when needed? After all, like you’re saying, he’s responsible for millions of people’s lives.

(Still, we don’t know if it was coke to begin with.)

To truly love something is to grant that thing freedom. It is to hold it in an open, outstretched palm of your hand without clenching over it.

@Sincerity lol. Okay sorry, I'll try to engage with your argument after I stop laughing... I'm dying 😅

Okay... I got this... Do you wish your pilot of a plane that is about to crash or a doctor that has to do a very stressful life or death operation on you to be stoned on coke? You can't even drive an automobile when you're high on coke... 🤦 Jesus christ...

@Salvijus It’s not ridiculous. Open your mind. To coke. 😛

Lord, please have mercy on this generation of people...

@Salvijus Empathy, man! Put yourself in his shoes. If you can’t, perhaps some nice little drugs will help you with that. 😛

@Leo Gura what is so shameless about my behaviour?

Well, you literally seem to have no shame in criticizing a person and situation which you do not comprehend the gravity of.

You are Monday-morning quaterbacking a leader in war from behind your keyboard.

@Leo Gura

Leo, “you don’t understand the gravity” and “Monday-morning quarterbacking from behind a keyboard” are not arguments. They’re ways to dismiss criticism without addressing the actual results.

You don’t need to be on the front line to observe what has happened to Ukraine’s population, its young generation, and its long-term viability. The demographic collapse, the scale of casualties, the mass emigration, and the repeated rejection of earlier settlement opportunities are public facts. Pointing to those outcomes is not shameful. Pretending they are secondary to narratives of resistance is.

Every war leader is judged by results, not by how difficult their position was. Difficulty does not erase responsibility for the path chosen. Zelensky had agency at multiple points. Continuing a war that is steadily consuming the demographic future of the country while external actors benefit is a leadership choice with measurable consequences. Criticizing that choice is not “lacking shame.” It is refusing to treat human and national destruction as an acceptable price for slogans.

If the substance is wrong, address the substance. Calling the critic shameless for looking at the outcome is just another way of avoiding it.

Why would a president be on cocaine when he could have legal stimulants.

Can't wait 2077 Sincerity NATO presidency where you crush the Chinese invasion of Europe whilst snorting 200 lines per day xD

There would be no Ukraine left under worse leadership.

You are not appreciating the difficulty of his position and situation.

Criticizing Zelensky is downright shameful.

I do agree that once the war began he did a great job given his situation

However, I do think he could have tried harder to avoid the war

Ask, why is Kazakstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia not being invaded by Russia?

The solution is simple, be like them

That is what good leadership would do

You can grow, develop etc while being neutral instead of being pro West when Russia is your neighboor

We do not see Mexico or Canada go anti USA do we?

For good reason

Cuba tried it and it got fucked hard by USA.

Fun fact Kazakstan and Uzbekistan are growing more and improving their corruption just as much as Ukraine did during those 9 years where they were being pro West and not at war (2013-2022)

And they are not getting invaded nor at risk to.

https://www.transparency.org/en/countries/kazakhstan (10 point increase on last 10 years) and average 5-6 % GDP growth rate

https://www.transparency.org/en/countries/uzbekistan (10 point increase on last 10 years) and average 5-6% GDP growth rate

I do not think Zelensky had bad intentions but just lack of competence and realism.

This idea that "Ukraine would become Belarus" if they accomodated Russia to me is nonsense

You do not need to go full puppet state, you can be something in the Middle

Kazakstan and Uzbekistan are good examples.

They play it smart.

I am referring strictly to before the war began when I say this.

Ironically the Ukranian land Russia has taken will indeed become like Belarus because Russia is so pissed with Ukraine that they will not settle for anything than pure obedience and puppetry.
