Solipsism is actually not totally true

Because if I write in an inchoherent way, people don't understand and if people don't understand me then they won't benefit my wellbeing. The only reason I'm interested in practicing writing and speaking coherently is so that I'll be able to use this skill in a way that directly benefits my well being: physical, mental, emotional and social. That is the one and only reason everyone ever writes, thinks or does anything.

So you agree that philosophizing is consistent with ensuring your well-being, and you're doing it yourself, so why do you say you shouldn't do it? Are you talking about a specific form of philosophizing?

I have lost my job once and felt extremely anxious. Physically anxious because I was uncertain about how I'd meet my physical and social needs. Only one thing mattered at that point: how will I make new friends, how will I meet new people for a new job? And my life is a little bit more stable now but STILL that is the only thing in my mind for as long as I'm awake: how to keep these things running smoothly so I'm never again in that painful situation.

Sounds like you're getting fixated on something very specific (basic needs) because you were without them for a while. But you'll see that if you have these very things, you can still have issues. Take the recent case of RJ Mitte as an example, or other similar cases of successful people who seemed to get their basic needs met but still felt like ending themselves. I would say in the majority of these cases, the issues had to do with meaning (and if you want to be more or less general, it always has to do with that). Basic needs are basic. When they're covered, your focus moves over to something else.

Every single person who wants to end themselves don't have their basic needs met. Social connection and social safety is EXTREMELY important. More so than food and water. People who end themselves don't have their basic emotional needs met. Again only one thing matters: meeting needs. Physical, social, emotional, mental. All of them. Consistently and predictably met. Every single day from the moment you are born to the last second prior to your death. This is your only life agenda. If one single need is unmet, then the individual is unhappy and cannot function and thinks of killing themselves. I can guarantee people kill themselves over not seeing a way to meet a specific need.

I'll answer the part on philosophyzing later. I'm busy hanging out with my coworker and eating a sandwich, 2 things for my survival and well being, catchya later

How do you meet those needs?

@Carl-Richard

A bunch of my wellbeing needs are unmet which is why I'll think of suicide at least 5 days a week multiple times a day.

I barely have my need for OXYGEN properly met since I got a perforated septum issue. Which results in my need for a restful night sleep going unmet as well

I barely have my emotional needs met like the vast majority of people today. I barely have my need for certainty and preditability met.

Even spiritual needs like a connection to God (or God-realization as myself) are unmet for me

And I will remain an unhappy person until every single one of them are secured. There is nothing else for me to do but strive for the acquiring of those things.

And everyone is after meeting their personal survival needs. Philosophysing can become an addiction, which prevents people from working towards the securing of their needs. Every addiction is a distraction from an unmet need. I think Leo would call this type of philosophyzing mental-masturbation.

I actually can't see the benefit in thinking about solipicism... other than it being a distraction for meeting real spiritual needs. It can also be used as a roundabout way to meet social needs as well by socially presenting oneself as an esteemed philsopher. But anyways, that's another topic. I'm writing quickly cuz I have to go back to work right now.

You are infinite consciousness.

The mind is the experiencer that confuses itself with the bodily reactions.

The mind is there to manage your consciousness exploration, transmutation and transformation.

This includes shifting bodily reactions to aligned states.

When the mind and body are aligned a healthy identity emerges, and when they are not, a less healthy one forms.

Everything else within is just the realisations in between, the training to bridge the gaps and the modest growth that results.

That takes the longest, but it prevents the destination being taken for granted.
