Pornography - UK - Legal Changes

Sounds like symbolic politics to appease pressure groups. How do you even enforce that?

A good move on England's part if true I must say.  Very good.

Although I myself am guilty of liking hardcore porn but I do wish for it to be banned altogether from the Internet.

Just me or does the UK seem really politically inept. From pothole mania to Brexit to banning porn and everyone just switching to VPNs. Do they ever actually try to solve any of their problems?

Why don't they invest more funding into sex ed class? If people grow up with porn as their main form of sexual education then of course strange behaviours are gonna occur.

Why do you want it to be banned?

Liberticidal logics end up turning against those who promote them.

Because it's a disgrace to a society if its population is concerned with lust rather than creating a healthy family and becoming a mother and a father raising the future (children).

I think that's the best purpose of human life after spirituality and realising one's self, which is BTW in the same direction that is in line with creating a healthy society.

Porn is just lust there is nothing educational about it.

If it educates you about something it is educating you about lust nothing more.

Therefore creating a lustful society as we're watching today.

The best I do is just use parental controls to block the porn from handheld devices. If you get a partner to invent a pin you don't know, then this would be useful. It removes some temptations. There probably is a way to do it for computers as well.

Why should it be there in the first place?

I'd say cut it from its roots.

Is it realistically achievable to accomplish this or is it idealistic? Think of the opposition created by those who make money from this. If about half of the population were in favor of porn, how would you stop them or persuade them to seek otherwise?

I think automatic regulation for devices used for minors would be a start. I was first exposed at 13 after learning about it from my surrounding culture. This seems to be a root cause of addiction. Should parents have to check their child's phone for this? I don't think so.

This is probably why you think it shouldn't be there at all, which is understandable but hard to realize.

Was it there 200 years ago?

No it wasn't it is a fake need created in modern society.

I suffer from needing and being addicted to it too.

But it's not a real need of a human being.

It's a fake need created to make money and spread promiscuity and shameless behaviour around a natural and sacred thing.

Which BTW the only true purpose of it is bringing new life into this realm not developing fetishes and fantasies about it for more pleasure.

It is possible to get rid of it completely as if it never even existed because it's not a real need it's a fake need for addicts who are addicted to it.

Same as drugs if we remove them completely it would solve the problem of addiction so much better than having them and controlling them.

Yes there might be resistances but we'll get over it and heal as a society.
