If electrical signals in the brain produced consciousness than why couldnt this be reproduced within a robot.   That's how absurd Materialism is.

Bingo!

I don't know what I know, but I know that I know.

Last night I had a dream of Sam Altman.

It was a nightmare.

Never had a dream like this before. Worst sleep I've had for months despite going to bed early.

Consciously, I wouldn't actively believe these things I'm about to say, as I'm very prudent about my own conscious beliefs.

In this dream, Sam Altman was a part of a death cult of some kind. And that he has actively engaged in killing people for fun.

So on the question of AI and consciousness in the same breath as OpenAI and Anthropic...

It's much less a question about whether they could create AI with consciousness and much more a question of whether they're dangerous enough to pretend.

And I've already expressed what I mean by that.

Purely based on the documentable unethical behaviour of both companies thus far, the answer is yes.

I plant to switch to DeepSeek as soon as is reasonable.

As to whether this dream has any reality to it, that's much less important than identifying it simply as another thing however small of a baseline I give it, that doesn't stack up concerning the credibility of Sam.
