That would suck to be this cynical. A lot of women do suck, but a lot of women are awesome even when old. I know a few amazing older women that would have been awesome to have been their husband. There's absolutely too many soul sucking people, but spending life with someone else is something radically different than being alone, like the difference between a hermit and a time traveler. I don't think it matters how smart you are, another person can think of something you never would have and you also think of things together, it's at least 3x more creative and imagininative because you also get their entire friend group.
