The issue I personally have with this whole situation is that Ed Sheerain stated that he does not want to be political

However he has openly supported Ukraine in the past and even rallied behind it

Support Ukraine is also political, just like supporting Palestine is

Actually there are videos of children with blown away limbs, killed family, homeless and starving cry less than Ed Sheeran. That meme creator really had a lot of mercy on Ed.

You could also interpret him changing his stance as being spineless. Without any sense of righteousness. Just pulled by the streams of money. Empty shell, while pretending to be all about virtue. 

If so, then he lives in disgrace. And distancing yourself from disgrace is a sensible and often a correct response, if virtue and truth is your highest value. That's why people are boycotting his concerts.

You don't need to be a saint to be against genocide. Being just a normal human would be enough. However he failed even that simple test. I'm not judging him. But it's a normal reaction that people who still have a heart would no longer want to associate with him.
