update: I went out, approached like 8 girls, first I had so much resistance to be even 1% asshole, I was so nice to these girls more then ever lol. Then I got the balls to try something different. I went and did a few sets and I think I am getting it now. AION was right, it needs to be a balance, so the last approach went particularly better although I felt much more engagement from every conversation anyways, like I caught them off track, because they thought I would be the 100th nice guy that night, which is a good pattern interupt. But I think it is about delivery, it needs to be coming from a much more playful and fun energy. I think that some things I took a bit too far, but if I find a balance this should be much better then what I first did. Almost like a push pull, your energy very positive and your words a bit more negative, which is this contradictive energy that seems to do well. I think for now I might need to lean into being a bit more of a douchebag, because I was so nervous to do it and it kills my nice guy ego, which is good. I am gonna keep experimenting.

The way I was interpreting it as a defense where you're trying to get the last word and "win" the interaction. 

And I would typically think of it as a sign of insecurity, and a fear of showing weakness.
