Urge to smoke weed.

A little of my background. I was addicted to weed for 4 and half years when I was in Canada. Now, it has been three years that I came back to India my home country. I have not been working since then. I am relying on my family for my basic needs like food and shelter. I have an urge to smoke hashish everyday but my family isn't allowing me to smoke weed or hash. They put restrictions on me. Also I am on my anti psychotic medication. I don't know what should I do.

I would deconstruct the urge. What specifically calls you towards it? Weed is mostly a shortcut to inner calmness due to flooding your brain with dopamine. If you meditate a lot you can find similar peace but it'll just be way harder.

I also struggle with a weed addiction and I go on and off by the week. You're not missing out on too much, it's nice but is mostly a coping mechanism.

@LordFall I think it makes me calm and relax that is why I want to smoke. I can't meditate because I am on anti psychotic medication. Medication makes me so restless.
