You sound quite biased but I appreciate your interpretation of things. I am not there on the ground so it’s difficult for me to know what’s true. There’s a lot of YouTubers peddling how immigrants are overrunning Europe. I don’t know if it’s just usual racism where most of them are fine and chill and a small percentage of the immigrants break the law. The YouTubers like to focus on immigrants breaking the law while simultaneously ignoring all the fucked up shit their compatriots do. So I don’t have the best read on the situation. I also don’t really care much either cause of colonialism. Not saying I support some heavy reparations agenda but considering a lot of European countries colonized the places these immigrants are coming from, I see it as a cosmic karma that will work itself out eventually one way or another. It’s a pity to see all these refugees flooding in though. I saw a photo of them and I would not want these people coming into my neighborhood or where my kids are. They look very impoverished and are definitely not going to integrate and that could cause some serious issues to the community.

Since when do Republicans give a fuck about “decolonisation?” These people LOVE western imperialism, especially at the expense of Muslims. Also keep in mind Spain is a NATO ally, this would be as every bit as nonsensical as Republicans saying French Guiyana should be handed over to Brazil, but here we are.

Maybe it has to do with them supporting an authoritarian, far-right monarchy and not any meaningful concern for the people of North Africa?

Since when do Americans have a say over another country's affairs like that? It's a complete non-starter.
