Leo's post about happiness

18 posts in this topic

Leos posted a text in his blog that says that working won't make you happy, you can be happy just doing nothing. So what is the point of doing anything great in life? Why should we have children, create art or do anything meaningful in life? What if he's wrong, and do certain things in life can actually make you fulfilled ?

@Tudo Nothing you can do will fullfill you. There will always be a now what?

Everything you do is to run from the now what?

People have kids to have a 20 or 30 year long adventure away from now what?

People create statues for 15 years away from now what?

Once its over there is always something else, but behind that something else is the now what?

No one likes to sit there but a spiritual person lives where everyone is running from.

When the person dies they will be forced into that position of now what? and they wont like it.

All doings are nothing doing. Doing is done, no doer required. Batteries not included. This is running off of it’s own unlimited power source. This work is of the greatest peace and happiness, already carried, perfect, without further need to feel anything less or more than this simple base level effortless being.

So death forces people into a mildly annoying state of boredom? Well shit, that’s nothing to worry about at all.

@Emotionalmosquito Yes but a long time.

Like you wake up in that state and then you enter that state on sleep.

Sort of like you become a floor that no one touches or walks on for eternity and you are aware the whole time.

Eternity just meaning a really long time, like how if you couldnt keep track of time 80 years is an eternity.

Like sitting there for 80 years without a sun coming up or going down or waking up and going to sleep or blinking.

This is a great realization, but it can also be somewhat dangerous to survival.

@Emotionalmosquito This state is your primary state. Anytime you get up in the morning and start moving you are running from this state. You are in this state all the time its just sitting there. You can see it when you close your eyes.

One day you get up in the morning and theres nothing there and you cant start again. And you just gotta sit there for however long it takes.

Yeah, true, but I think that working towards some goal can actually bring some temporary meaning for our lives, not permanently.

How do you know this ? " When the person dies they will be forced into that position of now what? and they wont like it."

When we die, won't our egos dissolve or something like that?

Nothing will actually make you fulfilled you must find that within yourself.  There are, however, certain things in life that carry more bonus points. Kids are one.  They give you that aha moment. But ultimately the true happiness must be found within yoursel

Wisdom.  Truth.  Love.

Oh... Here, let me see if i can separate it into a form everyone can recognize...

First, when i think of "just m3ditating... just relaxing... or trying to just run on instinct" (iuno wat do nothing means per say, alas i tried to give it some notion of wat yous might be thinkin bout, including myself, when thinkin of, like, la-de-da do nothing), i think of a cushion, like you said, its that very comforting, but also dangerous foundation — Like its insurance for the soul... Chicken soup for the soul, sortve thing... Relatively... Personally or emotionally speaking...

You dont have to do anything or 'try to do anything. In an absolute sense, you really dont need to do anything.

Thats also what survival is, its the ability to balance that harmonic resonance w/ the active stimulation. You dont need to do that... You dont neeed to do Anything. But you technically speaking, need to, in order to continue the routine that says you have to, otherwise, you cant even talk or contemple the absolute, like the paradox is such that, you dont have to do anything absolutely, meaning you can focus on Being for beings sake, and still exist, even in death. But you wont be facing the absolute, youll be somewhere else that is no longer facing the absolute, cause absolution is the relative idea that "One can BE absolute", like its the outward expression of an inward experience, that doesnt end at absolute... Ergo, you dont face towards the absolute, you only ever face towards an idea of the absolute, which itself is that outward perspective that doesnt actually become absolute, Like... We are describing a paradox, but its something like that, Like youd have to understand that intimate connection of life and death, but yeah, its something like that, its a paradox that you have to experience to even know wtf im tlkin about.

P.s. Paradoxes are also physical things too, like, a paradox isnt just the conceptual idea of "whatll happen on a large scale", like, reality and paradoxes are intimately wound up w/ the present moment, which is to say that paradoxes have real effects on life... its not just conceptual mumbo-jumbo

No one gets out of here alive. So now you know it’s always alive because no one can get out of what no one got in.

Survival never happens. Don’t be scared of this great realisation no one has.

I get what you are saying, but I am trying to avoid the idea that I am doing nothing.  That doesn't do anything for me.

God is doing everything; I like that framing better.
