Youtube Channel and Content Recommendations?

16 posts in this topic

Hello all.

In short, I have transcended my old identity. There is a gap there that needs to be filled. The content I used to watch online doesnt resonate anymore.

I don't know what will, but recommend me some interesting youtube channels, instagram accounts, shows, books, etc that YOU find especially fascinating, no matter how niche,  and I will check it out and see if I connect with it, too.

Thank you.

Well what are you seeking? Personally I'm in a business and no more excuses phase of my life so I quite like Alex Hormozi. That man is so smart every video of his I watch I get an ephiphany. Much deeper and more accurate than most other business gurus out there.

He's pretty close to a genius, he graduated from Vanderbilt early and was a consultant for the military before he decided to quit and pursue his life purpose and become a personal trainer and start gyms. Super inspiring guy and he shares his whole journey online.

Oh man, literally everything is interesting. I love politics (analysis and news on yr, interviews, podcasts, audiobooks), literature (classic, modern, fiction, non fiction, history, memoirs, fantasy) true crime on yt, breaking bad, live action one piece. There is so much content out there.

@LordFall Thank you, brother! I will say that part of my shift is moving away from self help content. I appreciate you for sharing though, because it made me aware of this.

@enchanted Share one thing that you recently watched/read that peaked your interest and I will watch it too!

@Inliytened1 I dont. The point is to just share what you're into and maybe i end up into it too or I find something else adjacent to it that interests me. Or not. Just share, brother, dont overthink it.

For sure brother. If you want something more fun I highly recommend House of the dragon, really neat show.

https://www.muscleandstrength.com/articles/gain-35lbs-in-6-weeks-naturally Thoughts on this ridiculous scam article he made in 2015 where he advices natural lifters to overtrain themselves just so he can make money himself? I'd be skeptical of listening to a guy with this track record, he's in it to make money regardless of if it helps you or misleads you and he's all about the surface looking good, he doesn't understand the depth at all.

This channel is a good example of the limitations of debate and also how to difficult it is to think quickly on the spot.

I don't understand how Mark Manson became so creepy looking. He looks like he sleeps once a week.

This is what AI says about it " Hormozi admits a few massive caveats in the text that explain where that scale weight actually came from:

Severe Rebound / Muscle Memory: He explicitly states he was "returning from a layoff from training" and had lost a ton of weight prior to this due to opening a gym. When a trained athlete rebuilds muscle they previously owned, glycogen stores refill, water rushes back into the cells, and the body regains size rapidly."

That's indeed dishonest phrasing meant to mislead peple. I think he grew a lot since then and his current content is much more veriable and top notch from what I've seen and I read his book and learned a lot from it. It's quite practical and can be tested immediately in terms of making a more valuable offer for customers.

Right, so much dragon combat. I'm looking forward to the season finally, AI spoiled it for me accidently but I'll say it's gonna be epic. Have you watched a knight of the seven kingdoms? That's also sweet and more slice of life instead of focusing on the high lords of Westeros.

He looks great to me, his look is particularl but he looks like a 42 year old with good skincare. I think perhaps you're used to people in their 40s being more wrinkly and this is your baseline for normal aging? I think this is gonna become more and more disrupted as anti aging procedures become more mainstream and what you consider "creepy looking" is gonna vary wildly based on personal interpreation and what people value.
