Thinking you can manifest a state quickly and easily.

It is hard to judge psychedelics if you haven't done them.

But you don't have to do them to know when you take them you want to get to a state fast.  I'm not debating their authenticity.   But I don't view meditation as a shortcut.  With psychedelics it could be.  Meditation isnt going to happen until you are ready..imo that's where they differ.

Bro he was a mess.  He had so much potential but in the end he just didn't feel good enough.  That's my diagnosis but I'm not a doctor what do you guys think?

I didn't mean this harshly.  But psychedelics are one of those things where nothing is like it.  I try to stay away from this topic, but it really should not be avoided.  I understand that there is a concern about misuse and so on.  I am sensitive to this.  To be truthful to my path, psychedelics were important.

Supplement culture or whatever has gotten out of hand. People take stuff they don't know the first thing about then think their subjective measurements prove or disprove it. You can't measure this stuff without a serious medical project.

What if this is just fascination + identity + seriousness being inflated into universal importance?

I know you didn't but I'm glad you know my history.  However like I said I'm not debating whether or not they can awaken you.  I'm debating whether a more traditional path such as meditation might allow someone to awaken at the right time in their life when they are mature enough and grounded enough to be able to handle the deep truths that are revealed with awakening and thus integrate them.  That's the problem I guess I have with taking drugs to enlighten you.  You have to be heavily screened.  No one needs to screen someone who meditates.
