Are Love and Goodness identical?

4 posts in this topic

I've had some awakenings at this point, the most major of which involves Love and Goodness. At one level, these two seems almost completely inseperable, completely identical and the same; but on the other, I have had experiences of this universal force, Nothingness, that just says this pure; "I love you", and nothing else.

At another level, I've experienced the universe as almost an abstract form of formless Goodness without opposite.

Sometimes the two seem identical - Love IS Goodness and Goodness IS Love - but if im not deluding myself, it seems they can also be experienced as kind of seperate phenomena?

out of curoisity, what are your opinions / experiences on this? :)

They are the same yes but you can experience them as an absolute/singularity onto themselves

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

@Razard86 very interesting, this is also my excact interpretation so far. So at the highest level the two merge as one? So far I would say i've mainly experienced them seperately, but they both carry aspects of eachother - Love inherintly contains Goodness and Goodness inherintly contains love

Love, in its purest form, is "out-reaching".  Nothing more, nothing less.  It exists at the extreme end of a spectrum opposite Restraint.

Restraining <<<>>> Out-Reaching

Respect <<<>>> Love

In common parlance, when people refer to Love, they're referring to healthy Love which is "nurturing".  However, sometimes, as you're observing, Love isn't always good.  Love isn't always nurturing.

When Love is nurturing it is partnered with Respect/Restraint.  Lacking Respect/Restraint Love becomes unhealthy, inappropriate.   The classic example of unhealthy love is a parent who loves their child, the rapist, and gives them safe harbor, hiding them from authorities.
