You can see how the new quotes look on the blog now.

Better or worse?

Awful… I mean, absolutely fantastic.

I personally don't like this serif font. Why not choose very modern-looking beautiful one?

Because no matter what I choose someone will not like it.

A serif font is more serious and more appropriate for the depth of the things I say.

The deeper the insight, the less fancy the font should be.

Nothing wrong with the font you've been using in my view; actually I prefer it. @Leo Gura

@Yali I don't see how that applies here. I don't use fancy fonts.

But I am looking for a kind of simple elegance. And also very much readability.

@Leo Gura I like the font you've been using. It's as basic as it gets. It's almost acceptable for academia, but this new font isn't.

Also I like how it's in bold.

I personally like the new font

"I heard you guys are very safe. Caught up with the featherweights”" - Bon Iver

Academia uses serif fonts more than sans fonts I would reckon.

Serif fonts are more suited for longer, serious reading material. That's why journalists use it and books use it.

Sans fonts are more for shallow web material, UI, menus, etc.

Let the insight be elegant, and the font basic as hell. @Leo Gura

But many of your blog posts seem somewhat tounge-in-cheek.

I can suggest fonts for that genre :P

@Leo Gura Keep it bold though. You say things that are too profound for it not to be in bold.

It is currently semi-bold.

@Leo Gura I still prefer the font / level of boldness you've been using to this point. But that's just me.

@Leo Gura honestly, don't listen to me. this stuff is too subjective. maybe i just dont like it because it is new.

That is certainly a big factor. It takes time to appreciate a new design/style.

I'd say #3.

Which font from the list (if any) did you use for the last blog post?

I'm with you on going for more elegance, even though I also liked the old style.

What is insightful about this is that almost nobody agrees on the same answer.  This is insightful if you can appreciate it.

I went with #12 for now. 12 is very close to 11, which several of you liked.

Might adjust it later. I am still gathering feedback and listening to you guys.
