The mainstream media loves these types of stories. They love to make the next posterboy or postergirl out of someone. But they aren't seriously looking into the intellectual depth of their work.

This type of girl is perfect for a cover story for a news magazine. It is the perfect storm to impress casual readers.

As soon as they proudly tout someone's high IQ, I'm out.

She is a physicist so obviously she is invested in physics. Do you understand that physics and metaphysics are two separate fields which you can go and study at Cambridge or Oxford and become a professional in these separate fields ?  Without physics you couldn’t use this gadget you’re typing on right now . Physics isn’t absolutely unreal otherwise you would fly out the window right now and land on the moon. Physics applies to this thing you call life . Then it might not apply to outside this life but that makes conditionally real . It’s operative within this apparent experience. You feel jealous of her cause she is smarter than you ?

Its not smart its a waste of life and energy.

Metaphysics defines physics. A metaphysical person is studying the right thing. If you become metaphysics physics must move around you.

 

Its like saying this person is smarter than you because they know more made up symbols.

@Hojo if you’re dreaming there is gravity then there is gravity inside the dream . Gravity isn’t an absolute limit but isn’t totally arbitrary either . Like I said it is conditionally real.

When they say she's pushing the boundaries on space time what they really mean is she is following a set algorithm that dosent even exist.

Studying the made up layout of reality will never get you to break space time.

You can do that without any math or physics.

Lately I'm studying deeper polymaths and geniuses and I got to the same conclusion, despite their intelligence and brilliance they end up getting the final questions wrong. This recontextualized this forum and the people who do get it, even at low to medium levels they do get it, and kid prodigies with PhDs don't.

This is like saying a carpenter should understand ecology, because they work with wood, and being amazed they don't. Different domains of knowledge and experience. You can be an Einstein in your domain, and be clueless about other things.
