Sam Harris : Hasan Piker Is the Left's Nick Fuentes

5 posts in this topic

Sam is in complete denial of what happened in Gaza, so it's to be expected that he would want to demonize someone like Hasan.

Sam is an example of how you can be consistently biased and stupid, but if you do it while bashing trump and speaking calmly and softly and talking about mindfulness mainstream democrat leaners will still take you seriously.

He was also whining about Mamdani being an Islamist, in reality Mamdani is a woke leftist. He’s exactly what Sam had called for in the past, Muslims reforming to be more liberal. But the truth is that’s not what he wants, he worships the state of Israel and wants anyone against it to be a target of the US government.

Hes convinced the public is just biased against people like him and innately drawn to islamists which is why they’re turning on Israel. The actual reason is Sams delusions and positions are so idiotic and damaging to the world and country it forces people away from him. Most Americans would obviously be biased in favor of Sam and his ilk, secular Jews, than Islamic radicals and Iranian mullahs.

It actually shows more about how appealing he is to the mainstream and left that a large segment of his base turning on him didn’t happen sooner. They stuck by him even as he endorsed starvation sieges and praised trumps foreign policy because of his deference to Israel.

Sam to this day argues the IDF in Gaza fought more morally than the US in the war on terror. Despite being part of the intellectual dark web and bemoaning the left for running from conversations, and for then bemoaning the right for ignoring experts. He’s refused to talk to a single expert on the other side of this view. The closest he came was arguing with Rahm Emanuel, one of the most pro Israel democrats, after he mildly critiqued israel.

Sam passionately supported the US attacking Iran and said the US would easily create a secular democracy in Iran. He now is surprised the public doesn’t understand how right and moral he was to endorse a war of aggression that massacred an entire elementary school of children and is wrecking the global economy for no coherent benefit other than the sadistic glee he gets from seeing civilians in Israel’s enemy countries being massacred.

Some people say he changed, no he didn’t, at the height of the controversy around the US using torture in the war on terror he wrote an article endorsing it.

Sam is the banality of evil and dunning-Krueger personified.

Hasan is problematic, but no one on the left is as bad as on the right.

It’s not even a good analysis. They don’t function the same way.

Fuentes is far more strategic and calculating. He makes his shocking statements combined with exaggerations and humor as a purposeful strategy. But he holds grudges and like a porcupine stabs anyone that gets near him.

Hasan says stupid things because he gets riled up and it blows up in his face.
However on the other hand is better at forming connections and building inroads with institutions.
